I got a call from a guy that had an old car he wanted to sell. He thought it was either a Model A or a Model T coupe so I went out to take a look. It turns out it is a Tall T coupe or at least what is left of one. He wanted a hundred bucks for it and if the wife would not pitch a fit it would make a good planter to put flowers in maybe even add a water feature but this would be way too much work to put back together.

I guess my question is does anybody see anything worth salvaging on the old girl that would be worth the hundred? Or is it just returning to mother earth slowly? I always liked the odd looks of the Tall Ts but this one has seen it's better days!

    Hey,

I see alot left to work with, but that all depends on your skills and
where ya wanna be when it's finished. Most any Ford built in the 20s
30s & 40s is bringin' stupid money , now. Demand continues to climb,
wile supply is fixed. If nothing else, I see patterns for buildin' a "tall-
    tee".

Somebody in the HAMB is probably looking for some of those panels. As for the car itself i'm sad to say is a gonner. But the parts are worth more than $100 if that helps. Thanks,BOBBY FORD

Well it looks like it can still be used for a piece or two?
Anybody live close enough and have a truck? I can lead you out into the country. Give up the window moldings to RG and the rest is yours for free.
My truck was totaled just before Thanksgiving so I am wondering how I can get it right now since it seems to be worth the hundred.

My brother bought a T coupe about in that same shape last year for about $50. It had a few chunks that we salvaged before torching up what didn't fall apart on us. He also bought a roadster in a little better condition for again about $50. I don't see $100 in that one you found. Most all the sheetmetal is so thin or peppered with holes you'd never be able to clean and weld on it. Things like door hinges might be usable, but you'd have to be very desperate. Offer him $25, if he takes it, bring it home. If after you get it home your wife screams, give me a PM and I'll swing over and get rid of it for you.

  11. it looks shot to **** from here , but some dudes would consider it a challenge..
buy it and part it , gotta be something left to the car ..

    Roadkill,

 It's really hard to tell by pictures on a web site. Get someone you know to take a look at the sheet metal, it might be better then our fellow hambers think. I've seen worst saved then this old girl. Offer him a low price and see what you can do with it. If, it were in my area of the country, I'd take a good look and buy it if the metal was sound enough. Also, remember doors for these cars are hard to find. The doors are the same as '28-'29 closed cab pickups.

The metal is far from sound!
I might be able to pick this thing up and carry it myself if it didn't fall apart when picked up?

If you don't bring it home, you are a *****. 100 bucks might be a bit steep though...

I would say it is worth the $100 just to look out the window each morning and see it in the flower garden. That's my kind of yard art.

put it in the middle of your front yard and wait for the offers to come in! At least it would make a good conversation piece.

Let's just say the current owner won't be faced with a bidding frenzy of wanna-be owners. Offer him a 15 pack of his brand of beer and stash this hulk at your place for future considerations or tradesies.

I am not worried about the thing going anywhere soon. It is on a dead end road out in the country and the two rotwielers and the other big *** dog greet all visitors at the gate. I am going to work on getting it hauled home tomorrow where I can cut it up as needed to ship out parts. When I first saw it I thought the thing was beyond help but it just goes to show there is always something left?

There was a day that the visor and the rear window moulding would have brought close to a hundred bucks but that was long ago and far away.
There are virtually no salvageable parts on that which once was a car body.

    P*** it by.

You could sell the door posts and pillars to some OSR rockasilly *** who thought a 12" chop on his T coupe would be cool and now has a concussion from whacking his head getting into his car...........:)

It does look salvagable? Probably not great but better than nothing!
