I'd be willing to bet that no matter where your located you will have a problem with inspection's.. Personally, i'd run a mailbox as a scoop before i'd run the one you posted.... Just my worthless two cents or course.
All the cars I see on the road with that **** on the hood usually have a stock motor .If you use that you will also need to put some bullet stickers on the side of your car or truck ?But hell if it floats your boat do it .I always do
It will look just right on your car,,,go for it,,,don't let us backward thinkin' traditional hot rodders change your mind,,,dare to be different,,, HRP
One time when I worked at a gas staion on the wrong side of town, this young man, born in a country to the south came in with a 62 chevy 4 door. Proudly mounted on the hood was an upside-down paint pan, the kind you use when you are using a paint- roller-it looked WAY better than that Harwood .
Why did you mention that you are from Texas ? Message to all members : Not all Texans are like this. I do like the mailbox idea though. . .
I kid you not, just the other day my buds and I saw teenager in a ricer with a big wing 'spoiler' on the back made from cardboard and aluminum cans. It was held on with tape and string. Spray painted to match.
You need to roll through a few "hoods" in Houston. You'll wreck from laughing so hard. I've seen hood scoops mounted on cars that were FI. Not just screwed on, but they actually cut a hole in the hood! I carry a camera and I'm thinking of writing a book about some of the **** I see done to cars. Not just bad taste, but NIGHTMARES on wheels.
