This is my wife's mild 57. She did a ton of the work on the fresh paint, after all it's her's.

Threads like this make me regret selling my 59 CDV. In 04 for $2800 definitely not worth it.

Now, THAT is an Abomination. I'm not normally one to cry "butcher!", but... damn. I mean, it's a convertible, for crissakes!

Agreed. I've yet to see a Caddy with a blower stickin' through the hood and big rubber stuffed in the rear that I thought looked good. Too bad. At least it looks like it could all be reversed if it fell into the proper hands.

Agreed. IMO, a Caddy is a cruiser, not a musclecar. I've yet to see a Caddy with a blower stickin' through the hood and big rubber stuffed in the rear that I thought looked good. Too bad. At least it looks like it could all be reversed if it fell into the proper hands.

A 1960 Caddy convertible is like a Volvo in Sweden! Very common!! The man who owns it is around 60 years old and wanted to state an example from all those original Caddys! You schould see it from behind with its big continetal kit. It has airride to buy the way

    Found a pic

Wow, lots of nice big smooth cars here. Makes me think about looking for some large American iron.

LOL.. that '60 convert is so anti-HAMB it's not even funny. Or maybe it's hilarious.

One thing's for sure, it hurts my feelings. If it was a coupe, then I'd have certainly been more accepting. But not a convertible. :(

Perfectly put Oz. John 'D is the best promoter. I have been friends with De Rosa's for a while. I saw a lot of John's earlier cars get the metal work done through De Rosa & Sons. I'm happy to see builders like yourself getting the recognition that you deserve like at Sac Autorama. I am always looking forward to see what comes out of your shop.

Thanks brian,ya it gets a little old hearing how great some people are when you do all the designing and all all all the work(long late cold hours) you know that they are in a warm bed and you still up sanding at 2 or 3 am,trying to get the car done, but when its time for the show all you hear is how great the owner is,it get to ya

nuthin like a slammed caddy its like they were made to lie low in the weeds, they dont need alot of mods to look killer. something about them that keeps them looking sinister
