Just a couple I have on the Art Challenge

 

Everybody has got some awesome artwork on here and the photographs are great too. Here's a piece I did a while back.

 

Way kool as usual, Thank God it's Friday. Slide's Tshirt designs are great, KNS and Rock & Race really appeal to my taste. Surf Monkey's Trump chop is Zombie-esk and reminds me of late nite in the parking lot. I also dig Clysdale's Bandito.

 

Finally got some color on the rough cast pieces I showed earlier.
Large is 3 1/4",small is 2 5/16" long.






Slowly I'm getting the process figured out.

i made some prints this week......i have learned no one wants to drop money on artwork...so i figured i would make a few prints for $25 including shipping...

11"x17" prints on glossy card stock

SWEET SHOW. Every week I'm blown away.
Nuttin' new... the last few weeks have been keeping me too busy to finish anything to my satisfaction. But I'm pumped up for Detroit Autorama. Here are some photos I took last year (I'll have a lot more this year)

Here are a couple of painting projects I recently finished.
The pin-up is one shot on a '48 Ford front fender.
The panel is about 11X14, base is acrylic laq., woodgrain
is done with one shot then cleared and sanded, Striping is
one shot then more clear, sanded and polished

Here is my addition, all original steel 32 3 window from last night, customer just wanted small single color deck lid and grill shell designs and bold single body stripe.

 

This is a really slick piece... As a Buick owner I always can appreciate seeing some hot rod nailheads... and the caddi is cool also.

 

some really nice stuff guys! i've been extra slackin, so i'll have to post some stuff up later to make up for it...

Here are my varied endevours for this week. I was drawing with the kids and while they were doing horses, owls and dragons Dad was doing chevys... um cool Dad??. They don't quite get it yet. Photochopped artwork and another laser cut piece - the 'eagle!?' from a Roth 'Dodge Power' decal -16" in length.

Just in case I haven’t made it clear… 85% of the time when I post something on the H.A.M.B., or do my art, my tongue is firmly in my cheek. I have a very dry sense of humor that doesn’t always play well over the Internet. I mean, I take this stuff seriously up to a point… but there’s a point past which it becomes unhealthy to take this stuff too seriously. Like the woody bubble-top I posted a week ago, or so… I did it gaudy, sexist, & totally over the top, on purpose. Cause that’s the way those mid 1960’s kustoms got to be. But despite all that, I still love them on a certain level… because they were so over the top. I mean I’m totally sincere in my love of all things Hotrod & Kustom car. But you gotta be able to laugh at some of it too, or smile! I’m serious about being a Hotrodder (even if I can’t really afford it!), & an Artist & Musician.

So w/that typical long-winded Eye Bone-ism in mind… last night as a kustom car concept exercise, I was playing with a California Lakes Modified "Bubble-top" idea (Hey what can I say I like Bubble tops!). But can you imagine sitting under that Bubble on a dry lakebed or at the Salt Flats???!!

Sorry bought the quality… my scanner is on the fritz!

Incredible stuff this week.
Here's the latest from my end of the universe. The black and white piece is the start of a new painting. The other is my websites intro page. Should be up in a few weeks. Zombie, great work as always! 2Tall, absolutely fantastic! I love the stuff everyone's bustin out with. Great job guys!
