I am sittin' here listening to some ****ie Dale and Stevie Ray Vaughn Sipping on a Martini made by my lovely wife (soon to be switchin' back to beer) and surfin' any hot rod site I can find. I am just dreaming of cruising this summer in my truck, the looks I'll get. Some of WTF? ANsome of damn that thing is mean! I can't wait. I live on the side of town where you can see a BMW, or even an Audi R8 (just saw one last night) driving down the road. O course I don't have that kind of cash or I'd have a much nicer ride... I know all you guys livin' in the warm climates have every oportunity to work on your toys, and if you want (just hit the beer, wife went up stairs...) hit a local cruise sight or just drive around and check out the sites. You know... When you really don't have any place to be, and you are just out enjoying your ride. That's the best. Today was the best day we've had in a while. It was a regular heat wave! 32 friggin' degrees!!! I took my kid sledding, and realized I am really old... They build some big jumps these days. Then I had an exciting time carrying drywall down to my ba*****t. I'm going to get another beer...
just got back from a little cruise at a local deli, there were a few cars I hadn't seen before because I've been helping the kids build the robot for the last 6 weeks. Neat tube axle early nova, primered 53 plymouth, as well as the usual crowd. And I come home and mama's watching Bullit!
Roamin around here, drinkin a beer and thinkin about what I need to get done tomorrow. Damn I cant wait for spring
Kicking back with the HAMB and TJJ2 waiting for the local Tomcats to meet senor 20ga. They are spraying around our front door and it WILL stop.
Just walked in the door ,been out plowing for the last few hours.(of course it was snow what did you think I was talking about.)
Sipping on a very strong Rum and Coke, ( thank you Sailor Jerry ), reading the HAMB, wishing I had a garage to be hanging out in. The rain and a leaky carport are not helping my motivation to get out and work on the cars. The wife and I are contemplating warmer climates and a shop to work in...................
It's friggen hot here, approaching 40 C ,so I knocked off working on cars ( I just installed ceiling fans out there too) and I'm about to watch OZ version of NASCAR ..V8 supercars 2008 Adelaide Clipsall 500. A bit like watching taxis race but better than sweating in the shed. http://www.clipsal500.com.au/2008-power10/ and i just chased this big ****er out of the workshop.
Just got in from tuning on my 31'. If it doesn't raining in the morning, going to my local Starbucks in the rod.
Sitting here getting my HAMB fix and trying to be patient as I wait for the first day to be above 50 degrees. It's 8 above right now so I've got awhile to wait. Damn Michigan winters, can't tolerate them like I used to. Frank
I'm taking advantage of the heatwave too, got the heater buzzing in the shop and busting my *** to get everything done...got the motor and trans yanked from the '31 and swapping it over to the '40, gotta get it ready for spring...if only the weather would stay warm...
Just coming in from the Garage finished up my trophy for Billetproof and getting another pice of art work started for ANIMAL to auction off for a benefit in CO. I still have to get back out there to put my new wheel cylinders in my 39 so I can take it to the show in March.
Arguing with an idiot about the stupidity of generalizations when it relates to economic and monetary policy.
Making a wooden buck to hammer out a metal teardrop / blister to go on top of a hood. About 6 inches wide and 10 long, 1 inch deep at the deepest spot. If I get a chance I will take a pic. I am using the mill to make the indentation / form into the block of wood, then I will hammer the metal sheet into the form, making a the teardrop. I have to use a buck / wood block so I can easily hammer the flange where it will lay on the contour of the hood. It is going to bolt on or rivet on, not weld on, old race style I will post a pic if I get a chance. Wil www.sakowskimotors.com
