His plans are to restore it by spring of 2008, tour the car for a while, and then sell it at Barret Jackson where they hope it will go into a museum's hands..

    Optimistic... :D

Good luck with that! I bet there's a couple hundred pounds of Belvedust in the bottom of that container. Hope they bagged that half a leaf spring that rusted off the car too.

I have used it a few times and it works great. That sh!t is awesome.

I de-rusted the water jacket in my Hudson, it had at least 1/8th to 1/4 inch of rusty scale built up and it looked like new when it was done, can't find the before but here is the after pic

If you remove the rust...whats left?

Give it a good bath, display it for what it is. At least its interesting.

Can you put that into an ***embled engine, let it sit for a while, and then pull the bottom hose and drain it out and flush?

Did a bunch of crud come out of your Hudson? Would a chemical like CLR do the same thing?

good to see their doing something with her, that was a dam shame when they opened it up and it was under water....

as for a question asked, evapo-rust has a chemical that you can run thru your radiator to get the rust on their site, looks like a something to try.

  12. Wow! What an impressive product.

It will be interesting to see how well it does on the Plymouth.

Here in ther midwest where there is alot of rust a product like that would be something alot of people would be interested in.

    Nice!

Talk about a hell of an adverti*****t for their product... the only other way they could've gotten that much press is if they de-rusted the ***anic!

That pic really reminds me of when Christine backed up into Darnells' shop all burned up.

Haha ! I thought "Christine" when I saw that pic too. Only I pictured the scene when Arnie first sees her in Rollie LeBays yard.

Why not just dip it a vat of Rustoleum and be done with it?

I used the safestrustremover.it is good stuff, really works, but a long soak requires constant rechecking.......ask me how I know.....ooopps  eats aluminum, actually makes it really mushy and soft.

I spoke a few times to the canadian distributor, was considering trying to peddle the stuff, maybe still will.

    Nice product though.

    my two cents,
    Derek

I'd gamble 25.00 plus shipping on a gallon to see what it did on small parts.

There is a 3 stage process of acid dipping, in the last stage they neutralize the metal so it wont re-rust, I don't understand why they don't carefully take the car apart and do that?
