I've been flat on my back with the flu or something the past 4 days. This morning I checked the HAMB and was pleased to see a thread from some fng asking for validation of his gl*** body. I knew the impending carnage and comedy would perk me right up and get me feeling a little better.

The oh-so tender responses and all together group hug made my head swirl. I had to clasp my hands to my ears to drown out a thundering chorus of "We Are The World". It was like Oprah for rodders.

Oh well. I know nothing stays the same. We all have to grow up and be "mature" adults. But all the same, it's a little sad.

When I first found the HAMB a few years ago, I piped right in with a question about some part I was looking for. Well, I don't have to tell you that by the time someone felt sorry enough for me to clue me in on the intro policy.... I still had all my teeth but I knew I'd been in a fight. It was cl***ic. Brutal yes, but totally unique. A place where people spoke their mind without reservations.

Kinda reminds me of when I got my first Harley back in '91. My brother-in-law and I were riding around the island one day and as we came up on the Rainbow Lounge out in Kahuku or someplace there must of been 20-30 bikes parked club style in the lot. I looked at him and said "let's see how the bad***es roll". We walk toward the door, me thinking I'll order my Jim Beam straight this time, without the Diet Coke mixer. My brother-in-law trying to look as bad as a 9-5 civil engineer can look (not very). We hit the door ready for anything. Anything except a building full of old bikers drinking slurpees and singing karaoke. Now as I tell this story I realize it could have had a very different and unpleasant ending, but at the time, I was disappointed none the less.

I don't really know why I'm posting this. Maybe my fever's kicking up. And the gl*** vs. steel topic may be gettin' old hat. But I hope we can still muster the energy to say what we really think around here. And, well, maybe we did. I hope not.

PC is still a dirty word around here isn't it?

There are ways to speak your mind without being a ****. Lobbing bombs at each other via a message board really isn't brave nor tough.

Personally, I despise those who mistake rudeness for being "********". Speak your mind. State it plainly. Context is the key.

By the way, I wrote this without seeing the previous messages. I wasn't referring to you guys. I understand the context!

Being a **** for the sake of being a **** is pointless.

Being a **** because they deserve it, well that's just common courtesy.

Thats what this forum needed... I guy whining about other forum members not being tough enough for him.

He says he's been "flat on his back" with the flu. Yeah right! Probably flat on his back trying to make money the old fashioned way. Same guy admits he went into the "Rainbow Lounge" with a buncha bikers in it. DUH!! It's a gay, biker bar ya r-tard!!! Now we know who his customers are for the above listed job he has been doing for the last 4 days!!!

Now shut the hell up and get better, beauishere, ya gay, biker, karaoke singing, slurpee drinkin, biker wanna-be. I don't want any of yer F-in germs!!!
