Well it's time to start my next project. My good friend Steve Stanford just finished my rendering. This is a concept i came up with two years ago. It is a all Steel full fender 32 roadster with a Old's / 50's theme. Withe only a couple of modern items like 5 speed and disk brakes. Drive train is 303 with 324 heads 2 2's Edmond's and holly 2100's, 5 speed trans Olds dash insert,Olds dogdish hubcaps,Olds taillights and a few other Old's items. March will be the official start date as i need to finish up a 56 F-100 for a customer which will go to paint in the next few weeks.

Let me know what you guys think and I'm open to any and all ideas.

I really like that rendering.... and dig the few modern parts mixed in. Just makes the car that much more fun to drive. That's what you plan on doing with it, right? Drive it!

We built a 32 with a 324 olds, and an Edmunds 2x2's. It wasnt full fendered like yours, I think the colors are somewhat similar as well. You can see pictures on my website. Looks like a cool hot rod your building!

I like everything, except the tail lights. It seems like there are too many curves in an early car to make square tail lights work. Just a thought.

I used a t-5 5 speed. You need to find the adapter to a G.M. four speed, the bolt pattern is the same. The problem you are going to have is finding a flywheel.

Phew, that was close! Those will be sweet.

I still don't get Moon tanks on non-race cars though. I put them in the category of "over abused and inappropriate decorator item." My personal opinion of course.

    OCFAB, Great looking Duece.
What are your plans for the top? I really like the way the rendering makes it appear as a removable hardtop. Is that the plan?

Does anyone make a top like this or are you going to fab one up?
I have not found a fiberglass one that I like.
I have been planning to make an aluminum top like this for my upcoming project.

That's a very good choice in my opinion. It fits the subtle lines and curves of the rest of the car without shouting, "HEY! I'm a tail light!"

The early olds[ 49-64] is not a b.o.p. bellhousing. You can get a bellhousing, flywheel, starter from Ross in Ohio or Wilcap in Calif.

What I think (since YOU asked): It's not a 1950's theme anymore.... not with the disc brakes,1-800 front end, 5 spd. 9" rear, coil overs, etc etc.......

It's more of a Street Rod for a goldchainer..... you might want to try posting it on another forum.....

Because i add brakes that work a rearend from the 50's and other items you will never see to add comfort makes it not a traditional style hot rod. I Guss you are in tilted to your opinion. As for the goldchainer commet i build my own cars i don't write checks to have them built for me my .02
