    Guys,
My '59 is awaiting some TLC to get it road worthy this summer but I could use some advice about where to get new clips for chrome trim (doors, fenders) as well as how to gently remove/replace the trim (door, windshield, back window, rear fender edge, etc.) I've owned the car for 20 years but spent most of it building/racing old coupes. Time to slow down and enjoy things. Thanks

Now, I know it's stock, but this car is pretty cool ... it belongs to my neighbor down the street. Unrestored '59 Impala, two-door hardtop, 348. Been in the family since new. It had been in storage for years. My father and I were getting it running for the guy until he went into divorce proceedings and he had to fight for it. If a car like this one came into my posession, I'd just lower it and drive it.

Here are some concept renderings of what my '59 could look like if I got my act together!

as for the trim and things. you cant buy any 59 side trim or any trim for that matter. what trim are you wanting may have it. i have 2 other biscanyes that i will be parting out. also rear glass is unavailable. as for removing. well its a pain. just go slow. i used a flat head screw driver and a clip tool to pop off most of it. Like the fine moldings and such, but at the ends those moldings are held on by nuts from the inside, not fun but time consuming:eek:

Looks pretty cool ! Personally, if it were me I'd use the "old" grill. Let us know if you end up with it !
