I have found a 1962 corvette g***er built back in the late 60's it is pretty rough OK it's real rough but I think it could be bought pretty cheap I am looking for some pics of this style vette g***er. This car has the straight axle front with some spindle mount mag. wheels, 2x4 tube ch***iswith a cage old bucket seats and some pretty crazy paint but is missing the rearend and needs a bunch of fibergl*** work.
Yea I still do not know if I am going to buy it and keep it or just save it from being complete junk in another 10 years. It has been in it's current resting place for over 30 years. The pics are to convince the wife that we NEED to have it
This one's a model, but it's Big John's car.. probably the most famous Vette gas-cl*** racer of all. A few others (all from www.g***ermadness.com - and yes I know they're not all '61-62s)
Ooooh Gotgas, that last one is killer. Here's a few more... 460 willy, what are you waiting for, go and get it!
I have to wait for this god for saken weather to break it is behind an old barn and the guy has been plowing the snow in a way that it has to melt before I can do anything
Hope you get it. Here is a shot of my old 62 with a blown 468 BB. Blast to drive, but a little hard seeing around the blower !
awesome awesome awesome thread! --- Thanks 327-365hp for alerting me about this! I have the same designs....build a g***er....I've been working on mine here and there, but Its been costing me some serious money, so, Ive been looking at it as "good things come to those who wait". Here is a pic I got off the vette forum. This is very much how I want to put my car together. If you look at my profile (or avatar) you'll see I got a while to go, but, Ive done a hell a lot of work too.... BUY THE OLD GIRL DAMN IT!
I talked to the owner of this car. Nice guy. 4" ibeam between front suspension and frame to give the car at***ude.
Here is a real cool '62 fuelie local to new england. I guess the car raced at CT dragway. Owned locally by a guy in Littleton, MA now....one of the finest examples Ive seen in a long time.....front end has the lifting blocks "I beams" that go between the front suspension and the frame that were real popular back in the day.....I plan on running these too. Ral American mags too.....
You would have to bring up this subject...A 62 was my first car, and no, I was no a rich kid, just a dumb *** for letting her go! Go get that thing and do ANYTHING with it!!!
I have found it is easier to be forgiven than to ask permission. Get it and worry about the rest later!!!!!
If you don't buy it PM ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finders fee shall be given!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea my motto has always been It is easer to ask for forgivness Than ask for permission But my wife is very understanding about everything but it is winter and being a heavy equipment operator I am laid off and money is scarce. I am going to get the car but not sure if I will keep it or just p*** it on to someone who will give it the attention it deserves. I just want to see something done with it before it's too late. I will try to get some pics of it and try to get some input into what you guys think I should offer the guy. I will keep you all posted.
