It was surprising to me how few performance/hot rod shops there are down here. But on the bright side, I wasn't shoveling snow this morning.

It's the swap meets that rule in Florida...the other stuff can be mail ordered.

I keep trying to remember to go to Webster, but fail on a monthly basis. Any others in the Tampa area?

Not really...but Webster is pretty good, you never know what will pop up out there. The two Daytona's are o.k., but the prices are usually a little higher there, so I have got to where I skip them. The two Zepherhills' swaps are o.k., but I hardly ever get any "scores" there. The Sumpter County swap in Webster makes it where the other swaps don't really matter. That, and networking with local hot-rodders turn up good stuff.

I was told that Florida is home to the newlywed and the nearly dead...:D:p

I'm only 44, so I'm not dead either, but after having every supplier known to man servicing the Detroit area, I've found the area to be a little lacking in comparison. Of course I'm not shoveling snow...:D

I shoveled 80 inches of snow this winter. That's why I'm come down the first week of April for some sun, fun and no snow.

Nightprowlers sells those Merc frenching rings. Just type the word "Nightprowlers" in your search box.

  10. Hercules is in Tampa, but they sell steel reinforced woody bodies and trailers.

Way to make friends Meg, Your ex didn't teach you any manners.

If you want custom stuff these are two places that I have used for quality parts. Neither one in Florida although the last one used to be.

Florida ain't so bad, enjoy your visit. Most places there have cruise- ins every week. Especially in Central Florida. I don't live there yet. But it is getting closer.
