    Damn,
That's some good lookin metal under all them dents, don't let some dumb*** insurance adjuster tell you your car is only worth a couple hundred bucks. Good sheetmetal is hard to come by these days, and ain't cheap. Sorry for your accident, and good luck. **** a bunch of Honda's anyway.

Damn man, weren't you just venting about how many times people have backed into you and stuff recently? I guess your luck just got even worse. Maybe a good time to park that baby for a bit to fix it and go to the karma store for refill or something. Hope your luck turns around soon. That is a sweet looking ride.

  11. That was a sweet delivery too. I hope you got checked out by a good doctor. Some times car wreck injuries take a while to show up. Especially if her insurance co. drags it's feet. Good luck.

Uh oh, with your recent luck, I wouldn't be joining the army if I were you. But, maybe just going over the top like that is just the thing to shake things up and bring you some luck. Hope so, and all the best one way or the other.

**** luck Oilslinger53. That looked like a beautiful van. It's nowhere near as bad, but my Wife got hit by a truck in the same area on our sedan, two days ago. Although I can't fix it myself, i've already got the parts and have organised a good body guy. I'm sure you'll get it back together and it'll be better than before. As you said, build 'em, drive 'em, build 'em again!

The insurance company will try to **** you. Know your rights, know the law, never give up. Please do not take your time persuing the claim. Start right now.

Sorry about your Chevy, man. Hurts just to look at it.

On the bright side, it looks like you've got a nice '57 DeSoto Firedome/Flite there to ease the pain. :)

    Internet mental giant here ^^^

First question (and yes, I know California is a tort state), who are you insured with? Many pedestrian insurance companies don't know the first thing about these vintage cars. If you have a cl***ic insurance policy you might want to follow through with them as the appraiser will have a better understanding than someone at Progressive, Geico, etc. Your insurance company will then seek reimbur*****t from the other company.

Second question, who was she insured with.

This stuff isn't rocket science. It is what it is. At least with front sheet metal that is rather common, it shouldn't be that hard to source parts (for you, the repair shop or the appraiser). I do damage appraisals in FL for a couple companies and haven't had anyone accuse me of ****ing them. If you have any questions regarding the appraisal or claim issues in general, PM me (these pages move waaayyyy too fast ).

Please take my advise. I have delt w/insurance co. sereral times over accidents that were not my fault. You know they will not pay like they should, so I learned a little trick, and it will work .

Being it was clearly her fault; when you speek to her insurance co., and they ask how you feel, no matter what, tell them---- "I dont feel that good"

Thats it nothing more, and do not elaborate.

Hopefully you are ok, and you weren't hurt, but 3 days after I was rear ended I couldnt' get out of bed one morning, so It takes time for things to show up.

By telling them you didn't feel that good you are now cover by the insurance co. Your feeling good can be as little as a headache to back issues, it dosen't matter. If you make the mistake of telling them you are fine, and they record that, they are now off the hook.

As long as you are on record of saying that you didn't feel good they will pay you something for your injurys (ever how minor they may be). This will give you the only real leverage of getting the money you deserve.

I'm not one of those people who try scamming insurance co's, or condone it by any means, but I thought you should know some very usefull advise that could help you in the end.

    Good Luck

How does this help get his car fixed? You'll usually have two people handling a claim. One for any injuries and one for the car. By the way, I'd start taking the aspirin now. You'll be a little stiff for a week or two.
