Great work guys the last time i saw the truck it was ''in progress'' at last years Lead East....back in '66 I put a phone receiver and holder under the dash of our new Riviera Red Rivi that had thin whitewalls with chrome reverse wheels purchased from Duffy's in Red Bank ,the car was also fogged in a Cadillac gold by my friend Terry Browning and yeah many thought the phone was real but like t.v.'s and record players thats what you did back then....if you are back in Jersey dont forget us at the 14th annual Fathers Day Cruise to Jersey Shore Car Show at the Long Branch oceanfront.

So, is Chopolds walking around the show in big furry slippers like Barris at the Coachman Show???

Great work, guys. Another reason to be bummed about not making Autorama this year.

This was my first stop when I entered the hall. Got to meet and talk with all the guys involved in this incredible undertaking. After looking at the photos of construction activity, one gets a good sense of what an achievement this is. Congratulations to all involved.

Pictures of this truck are not nearly as incredible as seeing it in person. It definitley should have been placed up front. One of my favorites of the show!

I think unimpressive is what you meant and there is nothing unimpressive about the truck. These guys put a hell of a lot of work into making the truck. It would take you days to find all the "kustom" work.

  25. It sure looks good. How close is it to the original? What source material did the builders work from? It's like seeing someone who you had heard had died long ago.

It is just like it was in '58.The entire truck was built using the small magazines as a reference.Plus pics from various sources.

Sadly this truck is just kind of tuck away at the show, near the back and away from where it can be really appreciated. Very cool indeed. Pictures must have been from thursday night as there are no people walking around. What a flash back!

It turned out really nice guys! Be proud! I wish I had a nickel for everyone that thinks/thought its real.

  29. Just a gorgeous truck! I got a few nice shots of myself. What a talented bunch that put that together....

  30. I think they could put it in the parking lot, and it would still be exemplary. The team that worked on that master piece should be very proud!-MIKE:cool:
