ya the guy with the black Famoso chevy owns it and is renting out stalls. Racer Brown is in there and the other chevies in the pics. Its right near the front on the right when you go in.
Thanks Ratbone, I haven't been there in a while. I used to race the nostalga stuff with a 57 Ford Ranchero. I see Kennys car and Jackies also. Had a lot of good times there. I notice alot of guys from Ventura on here. The late Pete Marcus and Jim Data were racing when I was. 8 sec cars in the late 80's.They were from Ventura. Thanks again, Ron

When I was walking thru looking at the cars there was this family with 2 boys the oldest maybe 7 or 8 was asked by his mom if he wanted to walk around and check out some cars and he replied with, "No, I wanna go watch some more racin" I just started laughin to myself.

Here are some of the racing. I so need a zoom lense for my camera And here are some a guy from our camp...he decided it would be funny to be ricky bobby on fire and run the 1/4 mile. He did it and the people on the camper side were cheering him on. He thought he was going to puke from being drunk/tired. Not to be outdone some people from the next camp over sent out a female to run the track...It looks like in this pic she is fighting off guys but really she is about to wipe out going over the fence and her friends are rushing to catch her. And one for the road...by the time we realized there was a beer on top of our motorhome it was too late to do anything about it. I had a great weekend even though the swap meet was mostly junk dealers. I am saddened about the death that happened but at least he got to go out doing what he loves.
What a great weekend and our own Shag to first in Hotrod. Congrats, next time hang out longer in the winners circle, by the time me Kelley and Troll got up there you were gone already. Great Job!!!
no shit! that is cool that he won. I think I saw one of his runs...and as he went by I swear I saw a huge smile. if it was not him someone sure was having fun on that run. is there a website that posts the results of the march meets?
Thanks Guys! I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going. I was so on cloud nine! It was a long freakin day with 7 rounds to win the hotrod class at the 50th March Meet! I made my first pass at 8:30 AM and my last at something like 7:30 PM! I wish I would have seen you guys at the winners circle. This is my first event win and I am sure I will remember it for a long time to come! It was a perfect weekend with only the two Top Fuel accidents marring it. RIP John! I need to take a shower and go to bed but I am so damn worked up!
