I can not find a 2 barrel carb for a stock 55 chevy intake

i thought a rodchester 2gc would work and got a remanufactured one, but the bolts are just a little off. Then i got a adapter plate that summit told me would fit and it dosent. Am i going to have to buy a 4barrel and intake to get a carb back on my 265? I've searched the internet pretty good and can't find a 2b anyware for it. thanks for the help.

You probably have a large base Rochester. You need the small base.

 

Right. Measure your bolt pattern and post the dimensions. I might have one that'd work for you.

 

I bought 5 of them at swap meet today and have 2 others. I might have one that will work
