Supercharged 312????...Great Scott!.....the hood is worth some big bucks......not to mention the rest of the car.....
Someone chopped up a glass top car to build that. I don't think anyone today would do that, they are too valuable. Frank
You guys..., the hood is worth 3 grand..., "No Shit"! Just saw a hood like that go for $2,800 two years ago at Pamona! Now I'm watching this one as well!!! Mark
I thought it was the Oldsmobile hoods that were worth the big bucks... didn't know Ford made one. Sam.
Ford made that type of hood for the new '54 Yblock engine release. Myth says that there were only a couple of thousand made. (one for each dealership) These are worth BIG cash to a '54 restorer! Mike
crazy! that's my neighbors car! i had no idea he was selling it. and yes, that hood goes with that car!
Hey irritant. I saw that car over at Tom's shop a couple of months ago. He was making ladder bars for it and doing a few other things. Cool gasser. You guys are right...that hood is a very rare piece. I've heard of them but thats the first I've seen in person.
I'm seriously thinking about putting my bid in. I want to see just how much he might think it's worth though....
Whoever the high bidder is now, was the high bidder at only 2k or so. I put in a bid at 5k just for grins and it still said I was outbid. I'm pretty damn sure he probably wants well over 10k for the car. Maybe 15-18 or so... It's got a LOT of neat shit on it.
It would be worth it! Whens the last time you saw one of those, or would ever see one. I'd leave it mostly alone, just drivetrain, and make it streetable. You'd never get close to it for the crowds that would draw. you'd have to pull into places and jump out and run, or you'd never get away from it from answering a zillion questions... I love it!

I appreciate it as far as a cool piece of history, but I gotta agree...its damn ugly....i think I'd get a nosebleed driving in that thing.
"The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing." Whahappen?
i would guess he got an offer he couldn't refuse based on the way the bidding was going up. did a hamber seal the deal?
The body is not in too bad of shape if you restore it back to stock. Nice car though...I would like to see it hit the track!!!
