Anyone wanting to hook up a caravan on Friday for the pre party let me know. We will have 4 or 5 cars in our group leaving Jefferson City, Mo. We can hook up anywhere on the way to Wayland. Keith

Travis, you must be talking about the sanctioned burn out contest. They could use the parts from last years winner for the trophy this year.

Sorry man, I'm really bummed that I'm gonna miss the second year, but I can't let my granddaughter down. Bob and I had a great time last year, and I know that this year is going to be so much bigger and better.

I'm sure there will be, whether we want it or not...and just so everyone's clear, none of the burnout participants were there for the show...it was just some local drunks trying to show off...

 

I did not see a sign up list for vollunteers...But being the fine youg(?) man that I am I will sacrifice my time and vollunteer to help out at the BEER TENT/TRAILER

Im sure the locals will ablige again, I know Breeder was pissed but the Tranny explosion and following fire And mine and BigSams wives falling down while running away from it was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long while. somebody saved some of the tranny parts and said they were gonna use them for a trophy this year!!!

 

I suppose I should dig up those parts and make a trophy...anyone got an idea for what kind of trophy it should be?

 

I think it should be for the Dumb Ass for a Day. The trophy could be held for a year and the following year it is given to a new winner. The winner should be a Kropduster and voted for by Kropdusters.

 

well, house of color or ppg or one of those paint companies always give a "best use of color" award at the street rod events. how 'bout a "best use of rust" trophy at the RR??

 

Maybe we do like the Stanley Cup and engrave previous idiots' names onto a nametag...keep it at the show and make it sort of a trophy for those 'in the know'...

this ain't indianapolis or chicago where you need a map to find your way around. look up wayland on google-earth or mapquest or something. a street map of wayland looks like a tic-tac-toe diagram. wait, no, it's not that big. if you get to wayland then you're at the show.

oh, yeah, lindross, what an opportunity you've got. you can get on 136 in speedway and not get off of it 'til i got to wayland. except, i might take a 2-lane blacktop from speedway to danville, illinois and get on 136 there. it'd be a lot faster to go I-74; I-72; to hannibal or quincy; cross the river; and up US-61 to wayland, but i think it would be a way better trip on the "black roads".

We show up when we get there, the earlier the better...

Just remember there is no parking near power poles on street corners. That area is reserved for Waylands national pastime .
