    Jim,

I believe the car is now in Detroit. The gentleman in Ok. sold the car.
I spoke with Richard Hunter recently as well.
    Please contact me at markjascher@hotmail.com

The photo posted should be credited to Larry Wolfe in Wichita.
It was taken at M&N Raceway in 63.

Yes, that is correct. That T-Bolt was originally delivered to Dobbs Ferry Ford. It was retained as a dealer demo car, then sold at the end of the model year. The car then had Far Rockaway Ford on it, then Holeshot.

What a great thread! Hell, my cat doesn't even eat 'til I check this thread when I get home from work every night. Love them photos of the Super Stock 409's and Z-11's especially. Those cars put so many famous racers "on the map" and are a very important part of drag racing history. My father raced 409's for several years here in St. Louis and I've been around them my entire life. I remember a time when NOBODY wanted them back in the Seventies and guys would pull up in front of the house and just give to my father Hi-Po 409 engine parts and tease him, asking him when he was gonna step up to 427 or 454's and start making some real power. But he was a die hard. Still is, in fact. There's so many restored '09's these days at car shows that, as much as I love them, I have almost grown weary of seeing them restored to 100% showroom condition. They looked like that for about 10 minutes after the first owner took delivery. I wanna see someone do one like we all remember: jacked up in the front, tow bar tabs under the front bumper, tach moved to the top of the dash, mis-matched wheels and drag strip winner stickers all over the rear side windows from your favorite, small local drag strip! Oh yeah, and if someone doesn't do one like this soon, I'm just gonna build it myself.

The models are from MCW( http://ourworld-top.cs.com/mcwautofinishes/index.html ). They make cast resin bodies of and more. You should check it out. I just got the 61 Biscayne in the mail yesterday. Very nice casting. You need the Lindberg 61 bubble top to finish it.

    More from doubleHdragstrip.com. Great website.

Strip Teaser on the starting line. I still get a kick out of the hash marks for car length head starts.

If you want to build the "The Old Reliable" car ,it's a few dollars more because of the decals. I don't know the quality of the decals. I ordered mine without.

I have some pics of Mousie's '62 and '63, as well as a Nova and Chevelle. It's a long story that Joel has tried to help me with but I own a '61 that people have said was Mousie's car. Absolutely no proof yet. Mousie's story is a rather strange one. It seems that a Mrs. Annabelle Walker decided she wanted to sponsor some drag cars. A deal was made with Rosenthal Chevrolet in Alexandria, Va. where he was the service manager, and Mousie drove the Chevys. I tried to reach out to find contacts in an attempt to track down Mousie (no one knows his real name). I received a rather terse and
uncaring reply to one of my inquires that simply said "dead mouse".

    Biscaynes,

Keep those 66s coming! Do you have any more of Billy Izykowskis?
I'd like to see a bigger version of your avatar, and do you have any shots of Tom Hickernells 69 Chevy?
