Those pics make me sad. You have a head on your shoulders, not one word about needing to beat the other driver, etc. Those that carry on about it mostly wouldn't beat someone, but those that would, wind up in jail instead of the jerk. The feeling, though, must have been hard to ignore. Your chances of getting a just settlement are greatly increased because of your wisdom and restraint. Well done in a bad situation, sir! You have greatly improved your karma, if you believe in such things.

Some insurance companys are very cool, value of your loss wise, while with some, you're in for a real fire-fight. Do ya have a current appraisal for your insurance company-agreed value? Be aware of the "low-ball" sucker bid, usually the offered by their adjuster. If the other party was on a cell while they stacked into you, I think you should be entitled to pump a round in them! The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to get hit by a Dickhead not watching the road............The worst thing about insurance is when you need it you have to fight like hell to get what you want.When I got T-Boned in my 56 Merc, it was her fault, and her insurance company wanted to write the car off. I said no fucking way...so they appraised the damage at 6500.00 bucks, cut me a cheque and I sighned a waiver saying they were done and that was it.That was 20 years ago and I still got ripped off.At least it covered the parts and most of the paint and chrome....Glad to hear your O.K. I've been in those kind of spots before, I don't know what I can say that would make it less shitty. But at least no one was seriously hurt, and while the car's bent it's certainly fixable. I think if I hit a nice car like yours, I'd get out and kick my own ass.
That is messed up. Other drivers on the road nowadays terrify me. Glad you're OK. I would want that man's head, for what he did. There's no excuse for not looking where you're going.

First off thank god you are OK, but looking at your pic makes me absolutely sick. I am sure to the other driver it is just another "old" car, but in today's disposal way of thinking you just cannot go get another. You built the car out of compassion that you built it only to have someone......
That sucks. Glad you are ok. I think I would get myself checked over really well, especially if you wake up sore tomorrow. Good luck dealing with insurance. Perhaps you should show the adjuster issue 32 to give him some idea of the value. He will likely say it is a beater & only worth scrap value. Man, I am so disapointed. that deuce is one of my favorites of all time. I love fendered roadsters and it had a killer stance. It's the image that i have in my head of what I want a model a roadster/ 32 to look like. glad to hear that you're safe, and didn't get hurt. wish there was something i could do.
I met you briefly Don when you pulled into Reggie's place for his pre-Roundup BBQ a couple of years ago. I spent some time marveling at your car, it almost hurts to see it like that. I can only imagine how you're feeling. Good luck getting it all fixed up and back on the road. Very glad to hear no one was hurt.
