It's awfully narrow. I guess it could be cut down to fit a modified or something.

  14. Watch it turn out to be the bottom of an old washing machine.

But it couldn't hurt to dig it out a little with a trowel, you can always bury it again.

    Funny you mention that.

It is a '57-58 Plymouth dashboard and steering column.

What is the linkage sticking up out of the groung, looks like a clevis end? Just above the insert on the left, follow the shadow that is just to the left of the insert.

If someone hadn't stolen the steering wheel you could have driven it out of there. Those Mopars run forever!:D

from the photos I have seen here today I think it is safe to ***ume that these old Plymouths are grown much like potatos. I can also only ***ume that the one van zombie found isn't done growing yet.

cover that thing back up & sprinkle some mirracle grow on it, water it daily & check again in a few months.

very cool, love that lower grill section below the bumper, looks like one of those wales that cruises the ocean inhaling food...

    I like it.

the linkage thing looks like a windshield wiper arm to me. Strange how the column is there too almost in the correct position.. I wonder if the whole front of the car is under there.

Could it be the mirror mount, just casting an extra long shadow?

Judging by the relationship of the steering column to the dashboard I think it's most likely that more of the car is under there. Start digging!

It was SUPPPOSED to be the final resting place of Christine. If you're gonna dig it up, watch your ***, she doesn't quit easy.

And I think Revhead is right ... that's the wiper arm and there is a lot more car under there.
