The silver one in the last post is actually the GM concept for the Riviera,I believe. Some of the factory concepts get it right. It's always intersting to see what they left out.
Nailhead...mine was blue and a off silver with beltline flames, big brakes and big billet Colorado Custom wheels I called it the Rivette, it did have a lot of custom stuff done to it, shaved, noces, cut off drip rails, bottom of hood was smoothed a ton of detail items. I am not very good at posting pics or I would do it...LOL
Here's one for sale in Long Beach.. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/car/608046602.html It has a sunroof..I've seen this thing and the sunroof matches up damn near perfect, all the way to the curve of the roof line..
i'm going off memory, so i may be wrong, i tried googling and didn't find anything, and don't have time to dig out my reference material, but i believe that the Silver Arrow I was a production model that was customized in house by buick, not a one-off concept car.
Same car, I expect, since Rodbuilder's profile links back to Strange Motion. Some cool cars out of that shop over the past few years.
Nailhead and Bigwig race cars, yup thats me, that was my Rivi, its in a collection in Ohio, don't get out much lives on tile floor and temp controlled, it sits in a room nicer than my house!! By the way the blue with silver roof with all the colors and flames is in Quincy Ill area last I knew, he had it at the Bloomington Ill show last year, still looks great
Superfleye, any more pics of that car ?? Tim, sweet Riv man ! I still have that issue in my collection, along with the ones that had your '60 Chev Wagon your Buick and DeSoto. You do mighty fine work.
Thanks guys, I never post much on here cuse a lot of them had billet wheels and some can't get past that....I miss that car...
It's some photoshopping that Rikster did for me. I'm working on a '64 Rivi and wanted some ideas for paint. He does real good work. So far, he's done a couple of different colors, and will probably try some others after he gets settled in the new house. This is the original photo Blue on light blue - right now, this one is the front runner. Green on silver - also cool, and doesn't look as much like a certain Starliner .
Same here ! Looks sweet ! I don't really recall seeing to many paint jobs look soooooo right ! That looks perfect on that car ! GO FOR IT !! Todd
I am in serious lust with this car, If there was any means of me owning it I would, it's that damn perfect.
When that thing pulled into the Pileup a few years ago, jaws dropped. I walked around it and stared at it for a long, long time. Absolutely gorgeous. My wife was equally impressed... now if I could only convince her that I NEED a 63-65 Riv, I'll be all set!
That looks good! Looks totally different with the Astros/Vogues that the pictures from a couple of years ago farther up this thread. Much better.
Nope, sorry, for one reason all the pictures I have of it is from the rear... it must be the way the owner park
Yeah, it was his. I still have the copy of "Lowrider" that had the feature on "Flare up" It was on ebay a little while ago.
