No one got hurt, she'll pound out...could have been much worse. You'll be driving it soon and all will be good again.
good to hear you weren't hurt... damn, that sucks seriously, thats the worst feeling in the world looking at your baby all mashed up, wondering if this could possibly be happening. Hope you get it back together soon.
BUMMER!!! I have looked at your roadster several times at SoCal happenings and Loved it. Good luck with the rebuild.
Sure sorry to see your misfortune. That just plain sucks. Best wishes in getting it back on the road. Scott
Here's how it looked where it sat when I first laid eyes on it. Hell, it still looks better than that even though it's wrecked.
Sorry to see the old girl got hit, but glad you're ok. That car is a favourite of mine - I printed up a picture of it a couple of years ago (pre hamb for me, I found a pic somewhere,) and still have it on my wall as a reminder of what a cool car looks like. hope you're cruising soon, a bloke
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Fark that sucks big time, sorry to see thats primo ride cop a whack like that. Asshole John Citizens on the street.....geez. Rat
And here's how it looked the first time I saw it. You're right dude, she wasn't pretty, but no matter wich way you looked at her, she did have potential. Here's how I'll remember her. This wasn't really racing, just some fun. Just as well the old gal was waterproof. This is where she did her best work. Speaking of work, it's amazing how much stuff fits in a deuce roadster trunk. Yup, I've got plenty of great memories and even if she's not eaxactly the same, I sure hope there's many more to come.
OH Man Thats the worst when the Survivors get crunched up, Makes me sick. Good luck with the insurance co. Hope they have deep pockets. Glad you didn't get hurt, at least physically, I'm pretty sure you're Heart Broke though. Sincerely, Rohn
Don, Sorry to hear of this happening. I hope all goers well with the insurance paying for your repairs. 41 Dave
The main thing is that Don did not get hurt... The guy in the van needs to have his head turned into a squishy bag of broken skull fragments and grey matter.
Glad you're ok Don. That just makes me sick to look at. Gotta drive them to enjoy them. The worst part of all this is the down time before you get to play again.
CARPS, thanks for that great series of pic's of Don's old Deuce. They made my day and say it all about what its like to own and drive a hot rod like this. Seeing that old roadster just waiting for you and Don to find her and free her from that garage is so cool. It's funny how all these old Deuces survived the last 75 years and keep turning up to get back on the road again. DON, the old girl and you have survived this crash and you'll be on the road again soon. A little more red oxide will be just another badge of honor that this old car will wear proudly. After all, it's just a little more history and another story to tell while this car survives for another 75 years. Just keep your eyes peeled for the idiots driving those damn vans! The next time I get to Cali or Bonneville I'll look you up. You'll be easy to find in that great old roadster with the red oxide primered front fender. Jerry
Hey, you should know none of it was mine. Don heard you might be in town when we got back to L.A. so picked up some supplies just in case.
Fishing them out and posting them put a smile back on my face, hope thay had the same effect on Don. Don did all the work, I was just along for the ride. But it was one of the fun trips. Heck, I can't recal one that wasn't fun.
Its almost comical how your car looks smashed up. Its almost like a movie car with the backwards headlight and the frowned suport bar like herbie or somthing. Sucks though for sure looks like alot of damage. Good luck with fixing it
