thank you so much denise! chevygirlrox mentioned you! i was getting ready to hunt you down and send you a message! excuse my french but i have to say it- YOUR CAR IS BITCHIN! i love the color, the car, everything! i will def be asking for help! right now im trying to pick a color or design or something for my car...its primered right now and i dont want to finish her and have to tear it back down..any suggestions/advice are welcome!

 

customfalcon63- what and where is it??? im new to the car scene. i dont really know anyone who does this. i have a few friends that do cars for a living, but they are much older. im going to the swap meet next weekend. how about you???

a friend of mine put a bulletin up on myspace for the rose city roundup i think hes part of your club? ill probly be at the swap meet sat as well. unless something cmes up, that is the day i planned on going. well if it pans out right..we should meet up at the meet, put a face to the name!

well his name is josh, but he goes by junior. i went to junior high and high school with him and actually dated him once....but thats ancient history! he has a chevy belair...i think a 55...

yeah i need bumpers for my car and possibly some parts for my motor i want to get a split manifold or a header, and im kinda taggin a long with duke, he need s some shit for his truck he just got.

 

nice. im looking for some license plates and whatever else strikes my fancy... plates didnt come with the car so im trying to find some plates from 1950. i found a place online that restores plates that will be at the meet. so im going to hunt them down!!

 

50Dodge: I've had 'er about a month and a half now. I bought it from my wifes cousin, his dad bought it in '60 from the original buyer, but the wifes cousin(chris) didn't do anything with it. So I concider myself the 3rd owner. Other than a repaint in the 70s she has never been restored! Completly original (minus paint). I do get that though, people around here when I'm driving it around ask me when it was restored, I love it because I get to smile and say "she a survivor, never has been resto'ed" and look on some of their faces is priceless.

psychobilly351w and stretch 1320- thanks for the warm welcome! psychobilly351w, i love your car!!!! its fantastic! you know...i love just about any car from the 50's...i dont know if thats good or bad!??!

the monster- you sure will see me at the swap meet!! im hunting anyone down with 1950 license plates!!!!people beware!!!

 

Oh about the headlights at night...They work really good I haven't noticed them being any dimmer than anything else I've driven that doesn't have projector beams on it. If I get a chance here this weekend I'll try and go out in the country and get a shot of them in action (I'll have my wife or a friend take the pic as it would be unwise to do it while driving) The only thing you will have to make sure is that your ampmeter works and that while driving when you are coming to a stop (light, sign, drunk in the road) that it doesn't drop to 0 or lower, and yes driving and just idling in the drive are different (ask me how I know) Before I got it set right I was having dimming issues when coming up to stoplights and such. I have got'er set good now and she doesn't drop to 0 anymore and the lights don't dim, Yeah!
