the 66 was a small c-notch,little work on lower A-arms ,tunnel drive line, also a 1/2 tube on the rockers,it sets nice,I have more work in my 67 coupe and it still looks like a 4 wheel drive, like my 61 sets on the frame and the rockers are 3 inchs off the floor, thats where i want to drive it

i don't mean to pry, but i'm curious what the 1/2 tube on the rocker was for. was that added to extend the rocker to the ground... kinda like a cheat piece, haha.

It is chopped, they dropped the windsheild down and filled it with silicon i think?
If it is the same car i'm thinking of.
A very cool car, like all caddy's.

no prob you can pry away, the 1/2 tube is to clean up the pinch weld on the rocker, its faster to do this then to fill every spot weld, the car is no lower with it, but the rocker look lower

not really alot to tell , one weekend
I thought it wasen't low enough so i got the brite idea of body dropping it,alot of work for a 1'', I chopped the top 3'' im not done with the rear window, I might put a small rear window in it,im going to cut the windsheld on sink it,the only custom work is to shave the handles, leave the stock headlights and taillights,I think im even going to paint it kinda like stock, maybe light blue and white, hope that help you,if you have more questions ill answer if I can

Thanx, sounds like a lot of work for only 1 inch...

Not going to chop mine, but will build skirts, shave it, bag it and do a grille change and rear bumper change...I'll make a sled of it...it's about ready to hit the street...did a body off on it...been at it two and 1/2 years so far...

The lavender 49 fastback used to belong to Brian Everett of the Beatniks' CC.He also owns Route 66 Tattoo. It was dark blue originally. It was also featured in American Rodder mag way back when. The car used to be called Caddyo Daddyo.
