Here are a couple questions, I know you posted her contact # for registration, but I have not done it yet. I need to get 2 cars in..I cannot read adobe format on my computer so I would need a form emailed to me. Can that happen still? Are there food stands, or do we need to come prepared? If they have food and drink stands, are they going to prohibit bringing your own? Any hibachis or other bbq's allowed? Being able to bring an EZ up would be nice, but not necessary.. The sun isn't gonna make me any uglier, but my wife likes the shade. She is no fun when she's sunburnt...
sm weather is a crap shoot everyday. it could be almost 90* one day then 60* and foggy the next. it could be just right in the sun but cold as hell in the shade. oh and bring a jacket because more that likely it will get cold after dark.
You can still get in no problem. Plenty of food Vendors(even some exotic guy from AZ. with Ostrich burgers as one of many unique things on his menu), but I don't know if you're allowed to BBQ anyway. It'd be easier to ask yourself, and then you can work out the registration issue at the same time. I'll PM you with her cell#. EZ up's allowed
AMEN! A buddy of mine wore a big leather jacket all weekend in Paso a couple years ago and just bitched about the heat the whole time. But he wouldn't take off the damn jacket.
Penny says there's trees. But when I ask where, or how many she starts getting, well, she gets being herself. If ya know Penny, ya know what I'm saying. She's very evasive. She starts yelling at me, hey, I didn't stop and count the damn trees,and shit like that I love that woman!

It's like a runaway train Instead of answering Penny's questions (the premise of this thread), I get ambushed with a bunch of whiners worried about shade in a near coastal town. Look at how FEW posts that actually have anything to do with this thread's original purpose. I hope it gets closed.
hopefully i'm not too far off topic, but i will be there, and i'm bring my sled. fuck the shade, fuck the traffic, i'm gonna drive five hours across the desert to be there because i'm dumb like that. too many people out west are spoiled and won't drive an hour to get to a show like this, where i wouldn't think twice about driving ten hours round trip to be there. maybe it's because i'm from the east coast where we don't have shit like this, but i'm gonna hit every major so-cal show this year and have a great fuckin' time doin' it! see you there?...

I wish it was that close! I'd drive 15 hours, but that wouldn't get me there, let alone back. And I went to a swap meet last weekend with sleet and snow, so you vampires need to grow a pair.
I gotta say that the lack of shade is a pretty lame excuse........ I am coming from Iowa to the show - as a vendor. I know about 10-15 other people from the midwest that are coming out as well - some are even driving........... why go to all this effort? cause this is considered one of THE shows in the country/world. So please suck it up and bring your ride - that is what we are wanting to see!!! Also - I talked to Penny this weekend and she said there will be a cruise fer sure and that it will take place on Friday - she said details will be forthcoming very soon. Also think she told me that the main vendor area will be indoor (since I need electric this helps me alot) Of course the outdoor trailer vendors will have to be outside - but hopefully since the new venue is going to be a fresh start for everyone - all the people will look for the vendors that are indoors. I am looking forward to it and be sure to stop by and check out all the hot rod movies and Rat Fink merchandise. OK Later John

I built back in 01 when I started collecting parts my Roadster.
im bringing my EZ up..... some chairs, beers, food and a big fuckin box of tampons for the whino's... all said and done... i agree with desoto... heat beating on your melon for hrs on end gets old.
If you don't have an EZ-Up or have a friend with one, that's pretty sad. You could offer a cold beer to the owner of one to "rent" some shade. Beer will get you space under the EZ-Up I'm bringing.
i was just at where the show is going to be last month for a tattoo expo it is a little place and it was hot there!! last month was not our summer time and it was hot!! now that we just started getting summer it will be fun for you guys that dont know the place !!!! -BEAR!
OK, you said you were stuck inside one of the buildings, and still asked about an EZ up. You said it determined how much product to bring. I asked Penny WHY someone would want an EZ up indoors and she said to hang product off of. That's what she does. Excuse the fuck outta me for helping you out. I'm trying to get some simple answers for my friend here. NOT generate more questions
None of us have been either. It's a 1st time venue. I can't answer that. Go, have fun, and learn. That's my plan.
