I'll take a guess at a '50-'52 303. From '53 the rocket emblem was stamped in to the rocker cover, 53 and I think 54 had flutes in each end of the rocker cover, by 55 they were plain.

There is alot of olds rocket information here, try searching for "rocketeers"

you will need to run the numbers to pin it down

but looks like a '49-'50 303 to me.

only worth what you are willing to pay for it... or sell it for..

i picked it up dirt cheap and figured out what was wrong with it. the builder who rebuilt it broke a head bolt while ***embling it. he let it go like that and the head gasket didn't seal so it got water in the oil.

the old man was pissed so he just pulled it and put a small block chevy in it. this thing is NICE!

hell, i'd be taking a 25 dollar hit on it. :D

i got a good ****** with it too. the only things i didn;t get were one of the valve cover covers and the yolk for the output shaft on the ******.

this thing had like 30 converter bolts!

Gotta love the hydromatic taurus. Looks pretty nice. Like Paul said 49-50 303 olds. The engines are pretty damn strong. If you want more info look in the tech area. The easiest way to hop it up is to get a set of 56 olds #10 heads and rockers. Read the thread on olds rocket engines for more info.
