Here's a shot of "The Greek" Chris Karamesines' Chizler at Atco, NJ in the summer of '63. In my opinion the last year that fuel dragsters had sex appeal ... before zoomie headers and there was still great variety in car design.
The "Night Train" '62 Chevy 409 in the background. Anyone have any information on that Impala?
My apologies for the poor exposure.

I will be back in action with more Aussie stuff later in the week. I started work at John Force Racing on Monday and things have been a little busy there with the Atlanta race coming up this weekend. My frst day on the job lasted 16 hours.

567trishop, a good selection of pics. The first set. First pic. Castlereagh Dragway, Sydney Australia. Neville Alder's Mechanical Ape VW Kombi wheelstander injected S/B Chev powered. Second pic. also Castlereagh, Ash Marshall's 392 Hemi AA/FD 'Vandal'. Ash imported this into Australia mid 1965, it was purchased from the Potter & Winters team, I think they came from Calif.

Third pic.Calder Dragway Melbourne Victoria. Graham Withers Ampol GT 392 Hemi AA/FD.

Fourth pic. Ampol GT rail crashed, looks like Calder Raceway Melbourne Victoria, not sure of track.

Second set, all taken at Riverside Victoria. First pic red dragster, I am not sure but I think it is Joe Schnider Slant 6 cyl. Chrysler auto trans. against Jack Collins driving the Norm Beechey Speed Shop 6 cyl. 179 cu.in. Holden rail.
Second pic. John English 1932 Ford roadster S/V Ford power.

Third pic. Near side Hans Klemme dragster, 4 carburettors Y block Ford, Graham Rose 179 cu.in. Holden dragster sponsored by Maidstone Auto Wreckers.

Fourth pic. Ash Marshall AA/FD Vandal 392 Hemi, car is in Don Garlits Museum, against the Eddie Thomas Speed Shop blown 361 Chrysler Wedge, this car had a blower driven off the crankshaft and was driven by Eddie Thomas. The second set of pics. were all taken around early 1966.

    Do you have any more?
