The plan is to produce the frames.
This was the first 32-34 truck one we did.
It is made to be channeled,
6" rise in the front with a flat front crossmember.
The rear kick is 12" ??

I need to get some little things done, then pull it apart so I can take some pictures
    of just the frame.

PM me and we can discuss it further.

    Here's a picture of a 35-36 frame we did..

I'm not into the "super channeled / broken frame look".....but I think it's way cool you are getting someone so young interested in Hot Rods and away from the television... keep up the good work.

I'm not either,it hopefully will have a touch more class.
The cab was channeled when we got it.
Kinda like building a tree fort, you know using what you have laying around.

Thanks to Investinrust,it now has a grill shell.
Going for the new trend of double layer hood sides..
    need more visegrips !
It's going to be super plain,no wishbones, steering, exhaust, air cleaners showing at all
little pic from today in the driveway.

  6. Nice Eric! I like it a lot. Rear end set up is pretty cool. Should work out great. I bet that truck gets chopped before he's 16 though. Something tells me that. Very cool. Dale

Bought some Gibbs oil from ol' Side-Valve (the hot rod company)
    Thanks again bud.
Never used it before, and Iam impressed.Wakes up and cleans up the old dead paint and rust.
It's not a shadow,I wiped down half the door.
    Close up of cowl...

    More real updates soon..

The little tater builds a mean rod. Are you going to teach him to chop?, turn him loose in the parts store?
No sense making him wait 7 years to drive, find a cow pasture or foerrest service road and turn him loose. I have taught a couple to drive a lot younger than him, had a 9 year old step daughter that could drive the shit out of my stick shift F-250. She could aslo occasionally get my 500 Quadracer popped off too, I've got pictures of her getting air on that quad somewhere.

    Well,had a free afternoon.
When we got the cab it had already been channeled.
    It was very Lucy Goosey.
Needed to square it up and make solid .
So we welding in some 1"x3" tubing.Cuz that's what I had.
    (tree fort mentality)

Put in part of the floor.Just the pan that goes under the seat.
And I had ordered in 32 roadster seat riser pieces.
Cut them up to work, and widened them a few inches.
(I tried a original roadster seat bottom..bit narrow)

Just tacked everything, knowing I will be removing...just really a moc up.
    Anyways...going to build a seat next. (I hate wood,measure 3 times.Cut once.Still too short and crooked )
Having fun with old cars, and hanging out with my favorite guy.
Doesn't get any better then that !
    Ohh,and installed a engine last weekend...I'll post pic's in a couple days..

    Thanks for looking.

  25. It looks great and the best thing is 60 years from now your son will look back on this period so fondly...though I am sure there are many more builds in the future...

    Looks great eric!
looks like the slammed version of mine, damn those ribbed fronts look tempting..

like the raised bed floor idea, may have to borrow that, mine has a cherry floor i dont want to waste , but clearance issues underneath ,maybe it is a 34 bed, doesnt fit the frame very well.

what a great thing to build it with your son. awesome.
