I've always been a GM man, Pontiac-Olds 1965-up engines, but recently branched off into older and different makes to keep it interesting. Recently obtained 3 Chrysler polys, 2 Dodge polys, a Dodge hemi, and a Chrysler hemi, to sort out/see what makes them tick. They look like very well designed engines, and the metallurgy in these engines is high quality. Very few have any stripped or stubborn bolts, due to high nickel content in everything, cores and hardware, they really resist corrosion. All but one, all head/intake/exhaust manifold bolts came off without breaking/stripping, using an electric impact gun 110 v- only one engine required torch work on exhaust manifolds, because it was sitting in water in a swampy area for 40 years.

Here's my '30 DD pickup. Still a long way to go, but getting there. The second picture is photo shopped. I still need to ge the ride height and stance squared away.

I have a 37 business coupe frame with running gear and a 41 Dodge flat head that has been modified to install into it with a T-5 transmission. Will need to find some type of body for it. Want to build a solid rat rod out of it. Also have a 51 Dodge frame, running gear and motor with fluid drive to try and do something with. I have a 48 Plymouth 4 door that I need to replace the crank in and start back to driving. Drove the 48 4600 miles last summer to hot August nights in Reno Nev. and to Bonneville then through the salt water at the entrance, still getting salt residue out of the frame and lower parts of the running gear. I have fabbed brackets and adapters to adapt later model MoPar upper "A" frame and spindle with discs and an adapter and lower ball joint in original lower "A"frame. This I will install on the 51 Dodge chassis to see if it will work before installing on the 48 Plymouth. I can get to everything on the chassis without the body, would need to pull the 48 front clip otherwise as I do not have a lift and working on yours knees under the fender is not my idea of fun.

Not really building this one, but we're working on this 52 Meadowbrook to make it a daily driver (belts, radials, disc brakes)...simple stuff for now. It's got 88k original miles and somebody did a restoration on it a couple decades ago...smells old again.
It's got a Hydroglide 3-on the tree...never heard of it, but it's like a auto/manual hybrid, plus the original flathead inline 6.
We'll probably lower it, convert it to 12v, mess with the exhaust and all...but it's pretty much done.

Here's my project...a 52 Dodge 1/2 ton 3-window. It's complete and then some...just in parts right now. Got an extra front end we'll probably do up into a club bbq trailer.

And here's the cab and front end of a 48 1/2 ton 5-window sitting in my yard...still got the curved glass and the cracked straight to make patterns...it's available...and has some extra stuff too.

It's sitting next to my buddy's 52 Willy's Aerolark (only one of those three that runs..sorta) and just outta frame is the 52 Cadi Fleetwood sitting under a tarp.

Just rolled it out of the garage the other night. Put the rear tires on last week. Front suspension/frame work will be done by the end of the month. Cab, bed and fenders will be blasted soon. The picture of the 241 Hemi is how mine will end up, but more likely with a 3x2 or 2x2. It's a small garage but at least I can move around it. What else can I expect for living in SF.

I built a 51 DeSoto about 10 year ago wiuth a tube chassis and a front mount blown Hemi, like a Potvin set up, but I built everything to underdrive it.

I currently have a 55 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe convert project, they only made about 43 of them...I want to cut it up....

I'm in the process of re-doing a 37 Plymouth P4. I have owned it for a couple of years and decided it it time for an upgrade:). I'm installing a small block, auto trans, power brakes and an updated rear end. I will end up painting it some type of old school grayish green after the chassis is done. The body is coming off this weekend. In the end it will appear stock from the outside.

These all belong to my old friend "Worm". He's owned the 34 coupe since 1963.

Here's my 53 Desoto Firedome. I'm rebuilding the top end/carb and I got a visor and skirts for it I'm cleaning up. Interior is original and needs some work, maybe next summer. Also lowering it. Trying to keep it tasteful and moreless stock.

Building a 37 Plymouth Truck street rod. 5.7 hemi, trans, and rear end. Coil overs front and rear. Lot of work to do on body yet. Plymouth trucks are not the easiest to find sheet metal for you know!

  25. this is my 51 plymouth two door hardtop. chopped 4 inches, 49 desoto back glass, 350/350 jeep cherokee rearend. and a lotta work left to do.

My brother's 28 Dodge Victory Six, quietly waiting it's turn.

Found a double dip axle and 8 1/4 rear end for it already. We had planned to find a B or RB motor, but with gas prices heading for four bucks a gallon plus, it's more likely the 318/904 I pulled out of my Coronet when it got a 383 is more likely.

  28. How did you achieve that fender hugging stance? What is your chassis setup? Is it still parellel leaf front and rear? I ask cause I have a 24 DB touring that I want that hanging on the rubber stance for. My idea is to convert to model a style front supension, but I would like to know what you did. Awesome looking car great job!!
