So we've seen falcons done right, gassers gone wild, and 100 other strangely named posts, but how about a galaxie photo or 2? I'm in a bit of a rut with my '62 and almost put the old boat up for sale the other day. I quickly kicked myself and changed my mind, but I've been getting a bit bummed lately. I love malcolm's car, for the record, but I bought mine with with more of a hot street car/race-oriented setup in mind, as my dad and uncle both raced tri-fives in the 60's and I'm not the that into customs (though photos of those are welcome too. Change my mind!!! I'm open to anything!).

Anybody care to throw up a few ideas or just a few nicely done cars to boost my enthusiasm?

    Thanks,

    Red

Anything, really. I LOVE super stock stuff, though. I'm just looking for a little motivation to get off my McDuff this summer and do something useful.

I loved watching Dan Gurney run Galaxies in the NASCAR road races at Riverside in the '60s. Here are two of his rides:

And i LOVE that '64 Tobacco car!!! I'd be afraid to go near it. Looks mean as hell!!!

Is the video not showing? I can put a link to it if it isn't. I haven't embedded video here so it might not show. I can hear it. It was raced new by Bob Fermier in 1962, and that is him at the wheel and V-Gate with a milk crate for a seat after 40 some years since he ran it. They plan to campaign it in NSS last I heard.

    I just came across a '62 and '63, $1300 for the both.

I'm going to go check them out tomorrow.

the proper wheels would do so much for the look of that car.

here's a few different shots of my old 62' .. it's nothing crazy, very mild custom. painted it green , ran it like that for a couple years then got a fresh gold paint so i could sell it for more $$$$$$$

Wow, thanks guys! I absolutely love Finkd's '63, and it would be in my garage if I had the money.... In the mean time, I'll keep slowly improving the '62.

Here's what I started with about 3 years ago:
