  1. Love it or hate it, It was good to see a new episode of a show that represents our hobby to the public in a positive way. Glad to see the improved format,i.e. no "pranking" the owner, and no anorexic co-host.
Of course it'd be even cooler if they'd finish my truck! HA!!

Production STUNK, the recipient didn't seem very excited, the car was very average, and I kind of like skinny chicks bent over cars. I didn't think it "improved" at all, it seemed even more dumbed down than before. I'm glad the pranks are gone though.

Hey opinions.. we all got em.

I miss the cutie....and even the pranks..hell the lucky bastard that gets his car done should have to earn it somehow! Now it's just another power block type show but done in an hour. Not much real entertainment value.

Say what you want about the show... And I'll prolly agree with you because I don't think anyone in the "car magazine show" format knows what they hell they are doing, but... You can't shit on the car man. Foose doesn't do trash.

I agree, it was a bit "dumbed down", I think they tried to change too many things at once, but hopefully will get better as the season goes on.

Oh yeah, what was with the Skratch cameo?

I always thought it was funny that they never actually let the surprise happen on the first version of the show. They would do all of these pranks and stuff, then at the end just say "hey, you are on overhaulin'!!!"
That's like telling your wife that your are throwing a surprise birthday party for her four hours before the party! I would have loved to have the car owner just walk into an impound yard and find their completed car just sitting there. THAT would surprise the shit out of me anyway.

  10. a half hour of commercials....go ahead count em!.
all the background advertising to boot..
    who did the wheels ?
more guys ,bigger shop ,bigger budget?
    car done in 8 +days....
be better if they take more time but show more of the work ...
    having cute girls is ....
okay if they need more of a viewer count..
    pranks and surprises..
okay too as long as they show more how to ....

o ya where do we sign up for non California shows?

even if it takes ten days I.ll dress up funny for the show.. or act surprised

I was pretty much done with the lame pranks and watching some fool squirm while thinking his car was stolen.

I didn't see the new one yet.

I've seen them work on cars at the SEMA show and also seen some in person. They were nicely done and you can see it was a good car, not just shit slapped together to look good on TV.

By the way, I still sleep with the Katzkin T-Shirt that AJ gave me at the SEMA show.

Chip Foose is a class act and an amazing talent. I have not caught a new episode yet but I will. I could watch 45 minutes of commercials just to see what they started with and what they ended with.

I totally agree on the hips and even more on the hair. I wonder what "product" he uses? I might take a Mothers Power Ball to my bangs and see if thats the secret.

Rumor is... The girl (host) is married to the ex producer. When he left he took her with him. Something like that. I actually liked her. Anyone see her on the cover of garage magazine? Nice!

WHAT? NO MORE A.J.? If A.J.'s gone you can just trash that show. Foose does nice work but I was tired of them pumping him up like he's some kind of car building God. Like " ... one swipe of the pen and it's FOOSIFIED. " Please.

i watched the show last nite and i liked it. im like the rest of you about it being "dumbed down" but they really killed me with all of the commercials. they lasted as long as the segment they just showed. i say give it a while they'll have all the bugs worked out, its still a good show and Chip Foose is the man!!!

listen to the jealously and negativity from the peanut gallery. if you have tried to do the stuff he does (metal work, painting, drawing etc.) and realized how much talent it takes to do just one of those things as well as he does you might be a tad more impressed... maybe not but i have and i have MOUNTAINS of respect for the talent he posseses. i don't know him but i'll defend his talents till the bitter end. :D I heart Chip Foose!! :D ...(yes, i'm making fun of myself.)

    I don't care if he wears a dress,and stuffs his bra.

    The man is absolutely brilliant,
TV doesn't begin to show how bright he is,
or how long and hard he works.

No more AJ? I saw her on a SEMA Action Network commercial the other day. So if they don't prank the owner, how are they getting the car now?

I liked the original format with the cute chick. AJ was ok, you could tell she had some car interest. I thought the show kind of dragged along. As far as doing the Mustang it was a simple choice. Thought the brothers commitment to to his brother was cool. Maybe the show will take off a bit now.

Chip is without a doubt very talented. I'll keep watching just to see the process, and what they come up with for cars.

    Deuces forever.
