HERES WHY! this is a car for sale. its mine, its nice but not one of my personal 'keeper' cars!
---- if i have a nice car parked anywhere in this lot people park as close to it as possible! --- I CANNOT figure it out!!!
the guy in this dakota WAS NOT here to look at this 46.

had a guy drive 2 feet away from this car last night at the gas station AND not once but twice!
the dude swumg out to park his suzuki sidekick as close to this as possible then realized he needed gas so he backed out of his parking spot & ALMOST hit it & the whole station parking lot is big enough for a big car show!!!
WHAT THE HELLLL??!!!!!!!! there is parking all over & look where he parks!

ill leave that nomad in the garage FOREVER its just for me to look at anyway!

It has nothing to do with it being an old car. It is that most people are fucking clueless. Especially about cars. It is merely an appliance to get from place to place. And it is really annoying, I know.

maybe but usually there is a late model park ave in this spot & NOBODY pulls up to it!

since i was 5 years old on up my Dad would drive his full fendered black lacquered 34 coupe EVERYWHERE! we went shopping parked it everywhere!
NOBODY ever parked an inch away from it back then 60s-70s into the 80s they respected it & stayed away or walked over & looked at it.
he still has it although it dosent leave his sight anymore.

Doesn't seem to matter, old or new. In 96', I got a new Dodge Ram truck. Went to Sam's Club to shop. I parked in the far end of the lot, where no one was. When I came out, there was an old junk van parked next to my truck, even though there where dozens of other spots all over, closer to the entrance.

If you DRIVE em, they are bound to get fucked up, but you can't let that stop you.

It's like never being in love, for fear of a broken heart. To which I say, don't be a pussy. Get your car out and drive everyday.

the biggest reason is parents. when i was growing up my dad told me not to touch anyones car, and i never did. i work in a shop with a lot of old cars on display and you wouldnt belive how many youngsters try to open a door or put their sticky little fingers on the nice paint and their parents dont even tell them to stop. o well what are ya gonna do?

I have a great solution that I've been tossing around. If you want to get a driver's license, you must name and state the purpose of fifteen engine components! That would be a sure-fire way to keep only "interested" folks on the road. Really, why operate something you know NOTHING about?!?

  14. My company's insurance won't cover me anymore,so I can't drive it to work. I sneek it in on Fridays, sometimes. When I drive my Merc to work,it never fails. Some dumbass will set his lunchbox or coffee on it! I've thrown more than one guy on the ground for that! And if one more motherfucker says to me "it's just a car..." again,I might just have to share a $5 Subway, knuckle sandwich with them!!!!!! You're right asshat....MY fuckin car!!!!!!

It never fails. I purposely park in the middle of nowhere and I always come out to some asshat parked RIGHT next to me...12" away...it's like that one commercial with the beat up, smoking Marquis & Valiant pulling up to the "nice car" in the middle of nowhere in a parking lot...Duplicolor?

YOU ARE RIGHT! & i would have them back up atleast 100 feet 'STRAIGHT' & then turn into a parking spot.

not being ugly or anything but are you sure thats the reason their insurance wont cover you...............too many employees getting the crap beat out of them on company property?

  19. I don't get it. That truck isn't THAT close to your rig. Not any closer than if it was parked in a standard striped parking lot it looks like...

I don't drive my car/truck to work for one reason. They give me a company vehicle and pay for the gas. I leave my stuff parked and drive theirs. :)

But I will agree on the general cluelessness of people and how thye drive and park. I drive 1200 plus miles a week for work and I just shake my head at the stupidity I see everyday.

i should of left something in there :D
around here they leave cars running at the stores or keys left in them etc...
i was in the office & watched him pull up. i thought it was someone i knew fukkin with me but the vehicle didnt back up then this fat dude comes squeeeezin out trying not to hit the coupe. i opened the door & ask if he wanted me to direct him in closer!
over 26 years ive looked out the BIG windows & ive learned the pattern. keep the nice stuff waaaaaay out back in the trees. they find em & walk back & lean on them then.

this is DUMBVILLE i live in! i bought a REAL 70 LS-6 chevelle all original numbers matching everything matches ON BROADWAY DOWNTOWN for sale & it took me 2 1/2 years to afford it then at $2,600.00 AND IT WAS STILL FOR SALE!!!!!!!! thats 2 thousand six hundred. DRIVE IT HOME put it in a car show, drag race it its a cherry & even had alot of gas in it high octane gas.
my phone has rang off the hook for the past 20 years once people got a clue to what it is!! i bet ive had 500 people ask to buy it.
oh & another thing ive never touched the chevelle other than rear tires & a tune up when it needed one. even won car shows in the as bought condition! DUMBVILLE i tell ya!

Those people are everywhere. If it's ain't theirs, most don't care. And judging by the shape Detroit is in, even if it IS theirs, they still don't care.

I only drive mine to work on fridays. Because its casual day and I can wear jeans and a t-shirt. It just doesnt feel right to me driving a hot-rod wearing a shirt and tie. It ruins the whole experience for me. I guess its like riding a harley with a polo shirt, it just aint right.

Aww, I can't take the credit for it. I saw one one time stuck on a guys car in a parking lot (years before the internet), and thought it was pretty funny. I did a Google search, and by god, there it was...I keep some in my car too. :D
