thats all class right there. I have a 61 and my saw this one over my shoulder and asked when wil ours look like that. I was shocked she owned up to the fact we have it. haha
It's not a Galaxie but I've got my heart set on a 65 custom 300 Post. A basic car - 60's style. Anybody done one of these? That 60 Starliner is gorgeous!
I would love some bigger pix of the gasser and nascar styles I know edelbrock family has a 66 galaxie nascar its somthing poultry on the side very cool. I am obviously of the hard to beat a set of astros and airbags when it comes to the galaxies. But man these are all so cool!
My old 64 Galaxie 2 door sedan. The same car shown earlier in this thread. That picture was taken at the Pittsburgh WOW show, not Cobo. I am also building a 65 Custom 500 2 door sedan, and have a 63 Ford 300 406/405 cheapo Galaxie. I love the early 60's Ford stuff. Keep on posting ..BKH
Crummy picture of the '65, Its a scan of a photo, thus the lines and specs in it but my son and I built it and did the body, and the suspension. It handles great. Its a tight car, and it is really straight which to me is more important than inch deep shiny. It is as close I could get to the original Caspian Blue. Cool thing is that it doesn't reflect, at night its like a black hole, it just disappears which is what I really wanted. I have posted a B&W of it, but this is the color one.
I've always been a fan of early Galaxies and owned quite a few over the years. Here's a nice one. Not mine, unfortunately. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/sdcvw/ECTA%20March 2007/Picture312.jpg I believe this car has run around 200 MPH at Bonneville, if memory serves.
Finally some Galaxie love hah. I'm so sick of people asking me about my fairlane or hows my impala doing. Here are a couple pictures of my '66 500.
