Before we all relax.....despite what people might assume from the name, global warming is not supposed to make everything warmer.

Predictions are that the weather will get more erratic.....colder lows......hotter highs......changing patterns.....more storms....etc. Sound like something you've seen lately???

For the last few years, Tucson is starting to "bump" all of the records. High temps....low temps....drought. Our usually highly predictable weather started disappearing a few years ago. Makes ya wonder where this is all going.

I know there are 50 year cyles...and longer cycles. BTW, "ice ages" are normal cycles, so it's okay, right?

I will make my small contribution. I sure as Hell hope we don't find out too late, that they knew their business after all. That could be real hard on our descendants.

I too think it's just cycles and the tree huggers have played a nice trick and gotten everyone in a panic over something that only the big guy upstairs can control. The Sahara desert was once a lush forest. Same with our deserts. Ancient man didn't smog the air or have chain saws to cut those trees down.

Sure, we all need to take responsibility for cleaning up, but this mass panic is just bullshit. Next time Al Gore gets FLOWN into your city and takes his LIMO to give a speech about it, think about where the money for him coming to speak is coming from. Idiots who gave into something they know little about.

Oh, a cold front just passed through Houston and it's 84 degrees and very sunny!

Here's a thought, stop worrying about what Al Gore may or may not being doing and using that as an excuse. If you are cool with breathing air that is polluted and possibly causing problems, then just keep doing whatever you want to do and don't worry about what tree huggers are doing. Promote pollution, dig your own oil well, dump whatever you want in you own back yard, vote to have a refinery next door to your house so you can help with gas prices instead of just complaining it is someone else fault - cool. But, if you would personally prefer to have a bit cleaner air to breath for yourself and your children or just friends, and don't prefer to live next door to an oil refinery yourself, then you are kind of in the tree hugger camp. I don't know many people that would prefer live in polluted areas if they had a choice. You don't need to be a f'n tree hugger to want some nice trees around and maybe a little bit cleaner air and rivers with some water in them and maybe 1 or 2 normal looking fish once in a while.

This thread is about some snow in April. Global warming or no global warming, it sometimes snows in April in parts of the US and every year is always a little different. No big deal.

Sorry guys. It isn't global warming, it is my fault. I have to go to Brazil on a business trip so I have caused this.

Want proof? This is my 5th ATTEMPT at going.

1st trip: Huge storms in Houston kept my plane getting to Detroit so I couldn't go for a week.

2nd attempt at 1st trip next day: Storms came through and I couldn't LEAVE Detroit.

3rd attempt: Made it but in a really bad thunderstorm.

2nd trip: Tornados in Atlanta area so I couldn't get from Detroit to Atlanta. Too late to go through NY or Chitown.

2nd trip 2nd attempt: Atlanta booked up so I was to go through NYC. Storms from Atlanta went to New York so they rebooked via Chicago. Finally got on the plane to Chicago (late arriving) and then snow hit. Had to wait 45 minutes to deice. Flew to Chicago. Missed connection by 20 minutes. Spent the night, flew back to Detroit because I missed the meeting anyway.

2nd trip 3rd attempt (2 weeks later): Storms in Detroit, late out but made Atlanta and then to Sao Paulo.

3rd trip: I've got 30-40 mph winds in SE Michigan with snow called for tomorrow when I'm supposed to go.

Like I said, it is my fault. Sorry guys.

Cool, thanks for letting us know. I'm glad it was a simple problem. Now, somebody let Al know so he can stop getting everybody so worked up and pissed off over nothing.

Hope you make it to Brazil soon.

That is why we all need to do our part to help the environment-face it,we won't come up with any alternative type of fuel until we are forced to.I believe in doing my part, use as much fuel in as big an engine as I can afford.Smoke up some tires, too.Use as much as you can, rods, pickups,go to the drags, etc. If we all do our part,we can get through this. ---bil

Roseau, Mn - home of Polaris. No shortage of snowmobiles here.

My sled is put away already, but I had a hoot blasting around in the snow today with the Ranger side by side ATV.

Funny thing, there was a scientist in the late 1800 who warned about the use of fossil fuel and global warming. Now I'm no scientist, but I see a graph with the use of fossil fuel, the increase of the level of CO2 in the atmosphere and the increase in extreme temperature, all the line on graph follow the same growth, to me that looks like cause and effect.
Other thing, Earth is actually tilting it's axis which means we are actually entering an ice age (one of those cicle) funny thing it's getting hotter, ice is melting all over the planet (here's a thought 80% of the drinking watter on the western hemisphere, that means us, comes from glacier: no glacier no drinking watter). So that would be actually the first time ever that while going in an ice age the temperatures are rising, guess nature is experimenting if we are not the cause of this...

Since I have been putting up with this shit weather for the last 6 months, I prefer NOT to take any pictures of this to remember this winter that won't quit. North of here in Watertown, SD they set a new record for snowfall in 24 hours - 19 inches!!!

Check out the Pasadena Roadster Club thread to see how life should be lived!

I live in Upper Michigan on the Keweenaw Peninsula and we have 282 inches of snow so far this year. Right now it's 25 and windy and snowing. It's true that if you are dumb, you gotta be tough.
