A secondary carb for a 409 at a local swap meet out of a vendor's "any carb for $5.00" pile.

  3. Hey kustombuilder is this one of those I'll show you mine and top that things??? I would say that you have the buy of the century and I can't top that. I have a hossfield that I paid 150.00$$$ for. I then emptied all the dies it came with onto the floor and the die I needed was not there. I then paid 575.00$$ for the die I needed. You in my books did very well>>>>.

i have been looking for some dies on Ebay and came across this exact bender (NEW) for a tad over $4100. i was pleased with the price i paid. :D there are many dies i would like to purchase now. first will be one to bend 3/4 square tube. got lots of round tube dies. gotta take inventory still and see what i think i might need and start a list, then start savin and buyin. should be able to do some side jobs to pay for the dies. can't beat that.

same guy just GAVE me a couple killer display cabinets. gonna pick em up tomorrow. they are HUGE and brand new! custom made units with lights and all. pics when i get em home... now i gotta figure out where i'm gonna put em.

i paid 12$ for the truck i drive now. (thats how much it cost to buy the guy lunch) and i've put 40,000ish miles on it. not real sure as the odometer didn't work till i got up under there and was like "hey i wonder what this wire goes to..."
i also have a 1961 ford f150 with a pretty much a whole new body, just needs a rebuild :S
i almost got a 57 chevy 2dr for free, was riding out to a party one night, saddle bags all packed with beer when i came upon an interesting scene, there was the chevy parked on the side of the road with one guy in the ditch puking and another struggling trying to put a motorcycle back together. the guys had been on a motorcycle trip and found the car and bought it, one guy took apart his motorcycle and stuffed it in the trunk of the car and drove the car. but then the car broke down and he had to get back to some eastern state i forget, so he was putting his bike back together and riding home while the other guy had a few days to try and fix it and be on the road again, so i helped put his bike back together and he said if they couldn't get it running he'd leave the title in the glove box for me, but they got it running. and frankly though i would have loved that car i'm glad they got it running. with that much effort they disserve it. heck all i did was give the guy a few beers and help put the front forks on

Well since you asked I have 3 complete Hossfeld benders and possibly enough pieces to make up a 4th that I got free !The killer is there was supposed to be 2- 5 gallon pails of dies that was part of the haul away deal they seem to have dissapeared from the guys junkyard.I have a #2 complete frame and possibly a second and 2 #1 frames none as nice as yours and no dies to use them.I am keeping a #2 but am undecided on what to do with the others

2 complete sets of artilery wheels 1-17" set with trim rings, 1-16" set with trim rings, 2-97 strombergs and 2-94s all for $5.00

I had to leave the auction early but there was a shop full of NOS parts from the 20s-50s. The last I heard all of the parts went for $20.00

I got a 61 studebaker lark for $350. I noticed the tags were a couple years past due so I asked the seller and he said he would take care of it and I could pick the car up the next day. Back registration fees came to $275 and the car came with three big boxes of hotrod mags from the '60s.

ok, my turn... (man, I haven't posted on here in forever..!!)

I found a single '38-'39 Zephyr taillight lens (glass only) on ebay, 'Buy it Now' for $15 shipped..!!:eek::eek: It was listed as a '38-'39 Ford lens , and had the crappiest, small, dark, 3/4 side-view picture... I could barely make out the two 'ribs' on the lens in the picture, which actually looked like it could have been a reflection of some sort..? I asked the seller for measurements, and couldn't have hit the 'Buy it Now' button faster when I got the reply email... :D:D:D KILLER SCORE..!! Now I have a complete pair that will go on my '38 Ford someday... I've seen those lenses sell for $500 a pair, glass only...

    ....Later, Snacks....

I picked up (2) 75,000 BTU overhead radiant (4" black tube)heaters for FREE. Was told to load them up and get them out of the way. Of course I hesitated about a nanosecond.

I bought these cool lights at the Hoosier swap meet for 25 bucks. I sold them on E-gay for $465 when I found out they were some rare Indian motorcycle accessory lights or something.

My buddy Russ gave me a set of Lincoln Zephyr Taillight bezels and a set of Terraplane hubcaps for being his best man at his wedding. ha ha ha
