So thought id post some pictures of my new A truck cab. The cowl is the model a com. cowl that has the band running across the top and no spot for winshield posts like an open car cowl. The rest of the cab is a body by Hercules Body Company. Which later became hercules campbell who built a lot of GMs woddy wagons...they were famous for their model t bodies before ford offered their own trucks...after that they built trucks for sever companies including GM, Dover trucks(a div. of hudson)...The company is still inbusiness today...according to the factory records only 10 Model A's were ever ever bodied and after talking to all the different model a clubs I can only find one other in existance...

Nice, what are your plans for it?

The old "subcontractor" body styles are interesting to research.
My 1920 TT Ford has a body and bed by Field Mfg.
It took awhile to figure it all out, and I haven't seen another like the one I have yet... '22

Your space... nice... BUT not enough junk! Hurry and fill it up.
It is nice looking. Unfortunately, I had to sell my property in Oregon that had a nice shop like that.
The even more unfortunate thing is I had to empty and dispose of most of the stuff I had crammed into it.

Not alot of leg room in that cab . While everyone here is choping roofs i would be adding some extra leg room to that little baby , extenda-cab if you will. Its so tall it couldnt not look right.

    Cheers and good luck.

The Hank is right. It has been shortened a good six inches from original cab length (see picture I posted earlier). It is much shorter in length than even a TT cab, which is barely workable for the average height person. You gotta add some length back in behind the doors.

I would add about a foot to the back. Its so tall it wouldnt look " odd" especially if there arent any to compair it to.

yeah i thought about making the cab bigger...I have all the original body wood that the last owner took out...as far as the cowl goes that is the correct one...the a cowl that it has in it was originally sold just as the cowl and chassis for things like fire trucks and mail trucks etc...

Ive got a "firetruck" cowl on my RPU, if i thought there was a market, Id reproduce this piece, very nice way to finish a cowl with a duvall style screen.

i wouldnt expect that nice of a panel to ever be parted out anyways haha. Why not start a thread about the panel? Id like to know the story behind it and see some more pictures. As a Advanced Design owner myself it intrigues me..

i dont have any good pictures on my computer of the panel...these are the best i have the panel is all original...the guy who originally bought it passed away and it was left in their garage...it still had the paper covering the wood in the back...but they put tarps and stuff on it and broke the one window to get in so it needed a bunch of work...we ended up doing a frame off resto on it, it has nearly every factory accessory on it and we lettered it like my great grandfathers store truck...the suburban was an ex-military truck...it now has a 427 big block and an automatic in it, ford 9" 4.11 posi-trac and mustang II front end
