This link was featured today on AOL and I found it interesting regarding the whereabouts and doings of some of the members of the AG cast. I know I read on here recently where one of the actors who played a Pharaoh passed away. And I believe Candy Clark does some car shows. Anyway, enjoy.

Bo Hopkins is still the coolest dude. VERY friendly and down to earth guy when I met him a few years ago.

My number one favorite movie. I remember watching it with my dad at the drive-in back in the early 70's. It was responsible for driving more than just a few people into the hot rodding world. It also launched a few movie careers and spin-off TV shows. Yep, super-cool!

That's probably because you're retarded and live in a van down by the river.

What's in a name? A reflection of opinions or the being?

American Graffiti was a great movie.Yeah, you can pick it apart and note some flaws, but it's a great movie for what it is-entertainment.

  10. I see the cast at a lot of SoCal shows, very approachable.

AG was such a great movie. Aside from the cars, culture, and actual acting, the story itself is so well written. Combined with the score, it is one of the most well paced movies I've seen. By the end of the show, you "feel" as if you were there that night in the midst of it all, up all night.

I have been tryig to find this movie for a month now. Went to two Blockbuster's, and they tell me, we had it but it never came back. Went to the public library, and they didn't get theirs back either. I guess I'll try ebay. It is such a great movie

With all due respect, I suspect this may be because you were but an gleam in your daddy's eye back in '62, answering the movie's tagline -- "WHERE WERE YOU IN '62?"

I remember seeing the movie when it first showed,,,man,,,It was great,,and it still is for us ol' gearheads that grew up in the late fiftys and early sixtys,,

Bo Hopkins was born in Greenville S.C.,,,so he was sort of a local made good in show biz,,,

The movie was a stepping stone for many unknowns at that time,,,Harrison Ford, was not a house hold name like Ron Howard on the Andy Griffith Show.

But both of their carrers have soared.

Richard Dreyfuss also became a hot ticket ,,,,everybody in that movie became a star,,,some brighter than others but none the less their popularity grew. HRP

I think it was the short mean looking guy that said, "Who cut the cheese?". It was a few months ago. I saw him last year at "Back to the Beach".

I got Paul Lematts autograph on a picture at a show a few years ago, my buddy asked him if he ever heard from Harrison Ford, and Paul shot right back.."Naw, he don't return my phone calls"

I was a teenager in the 60s, and loved Hot Rods. Saw the movie when it 1st came out and loved it then and still do. Attended the 75th anniversary of the 32 Ford at Dearborn last summer in my deuce. Ford motor co on Sat. night put on excellent tent buffet in the corp headquarters parking lot. then showed the AG movie with portable drive in screens. All the old 32s in the parking lot watching the movie on a perfect warm summer night was really cool.

That would have been Manual Padilla that died recently.
He did play the little guy that said "who cut the cheese".
He was a Pharaoh, see picture.
