I figured I would post an update on my car since I had it somewhat together and outside today.

Absolutely nothing is "done" but im gradually digging away at it.

This is just a filler before the final running and driving post.

Love the shape of the nose! Great they way you continued the narrowing of the hood and nose to match the cowl. Very nice. Clever shock mount also. Can't wait to see it finished.

  20. If a person didn't know better he would think that car was an old hotrod built by some metal mater with just the right eye.....................but we know better, can we say we knew you when!?

  21. That thing is absolutely the epitome of a roadster.

And it keeps getting better and better. Thanks for the clip.

'Looks fabulous--like I used to wish the real ones would be. Alas, most were cobble-just enough to get them from the junk yard to the track. Bad as they were, I loved every minute that I was able to see them run and, to this day, a Track Roadster is the ultimate image of a race car to me. Maybe if they had been built to the standard of yours, they wouldn't have disappeared back in 1953.

    thanks guys,
Dale....thats the funny thing with this.....
I know the originals werent beauty queens really, I keep having to tell myself to stop, leave that how it is, dont make those perfect looking welds and sand them smooth....etc.
Im really trying to make this look like it was pulled out of a barn wheres it's sat for 60 years.....

  30. Good to see it's still in process. What's the deal with the shocks, can you post a picture of the mount? Is it a canteliver setup?

Are you going to make a Hallock style windshield frame?
