hey there.. first off, does anyone have a good site for paint color codes and swatches? also, anyone have any preferrences on what type of paint.. this will be for my wheels and interior pieces... im wanting to go with a deep red, like a blood red, but i want it to have some depth to it, maybe a pearl look

You will not be satisfied with the color chips online. This is only good for solid colors. You need to go to your local paint store and look at chips, or if you see a color on a car you like, find out what kind, and year, of car.

Some of the new cars use what is basically a candy. If you have to spot repair it, it will be hard or expensive. Look for a two-stage basecoat clearcoat, or single stage if you aren't going to buff it.

My wheels are BC/CC just because its what I had lying around. Single stage is alot easier, quicker, and cheaper for pieces that aren't going to see as much abuse from the elements as the body. Plus its alot easier to touch up if you nick it.

slow and low is right, but in order to get that depth ya gonna need to do bc/cc single stage does not have the pigment.

Most colors are available in either BC/CC or SS. Just depends what you have them mix it up in. In response to the depth thing, I recently shot some of PPG's Global SS. I'm not sure if it was that specific color or not, but it had depth like a laquer job and gloss til the cows came home with no buff. Its not what I normally use and I was very impressed.

You're not going to see any difference between single stage, and bc/cc in ictures, just like you're not going to see the "right" color on a computer.
    Go to the paint store.
Use single stage for solid colors, and bc/cc for metallics, and pearl colors.
