Here's a picture of my grandmother sitting in a 1941 Pontiac. The photo was taken in 1946. When I asked her whose baby shoes were hanging from the mirrors, she said nobodys. That was just the popular thing to do, like dice in the fifties.

 

When you turn your three-on-tree GM linkage into a floor stick, that's the easiest way do it yourself...

 

Now THAT is a cool pic! If only it was real.

THAT TRAIN PIC is great. I know the 3751. It comes down every year to turns around by our Rod Shop and heads over to the "RAIL ROAD DAYS" event in Fullerton. What an amazing LOCE. Totaly restored and originaly built in 1918. The guy that runs it contacts us before he heads down every year. We can see it from the window in the shop and it is loud and amazing! GREAT TO SEE IT AGAIN WITH A HOT ROD!! It is such a site to see as it CHUGS threw Old Town!
