I have found a car in Arizona that have no title. Is it possible to get a title for that car?

yes. You need to get a bond against it, costs $50 - $100 depending on value. MVD will run the #s, if it's in the database. Records are purged after 7 years. This can get messy if there's a death, theft, or anything questionable with the car.

Generally the bonded title is the way its done. If the car is still in the DMV database you probably will not get a bonded title, you will need to track down the last known titled owner. The bonded title basically allows you to own the car for a stated number of years (its 3 in MN) before they give you a clear title to the car. Are you planning to export the car to Sweden? You might want to check with them if they will accept the bonded title. You can get usually get basic info on the bonded titles from the state's website.

If that doesn't work, I've used this guy before: classic car titles and it works great here in Virginia. $150

That was the answer I was expecting and I don't know how they deal with export/import of the bonded title, because technically it is not a clear title. If the car remains in the States it is fairly easy to track it down if a title issue arises during the bond.

There are other ways that the current owner can get clear a title for the car such as the title service listed above (depending on the age of the car), they fit into a legal black hole. In some states old cars are not titled and transfered only with a bill of sale, so you transfer it to the title service, then they provide the paperwork to get it titled in a title state. The only problem with this is that more and more states have made it more difficult to use those services. I can't say how AZ deals with that.

    Good luck!

If the car is out of the system...do a lost title for it.

How much is this car, where is it in Arizona, and what do you need off of it? Its a long shot, maybe I can help you get what you need off of it.
