Mick - thanks for a killer weekend. Your event is so damn kick-***. Extremely laid back, friendly towns-folk, and the weather was out-damn-standing. Not sure how you pulled that one off, but day-umn.
Toast, didn't get to meet you, but if that bird in your avatar is the same one sittin' on Main St. Saturday - DAMN THAT IS A GORGEOUS PAINT JOB. I took some shots of it, but the touches are way to subtle to really show up. Wanted to see it yesterday, but it was not to be.

Saw that little guy cruisin' the parking lot Saturday night. The look on his face when sis tried to take his ride was priceless. Mason, remember "girls are trouble".

    Too cute.

We brought our (almost) nine year old grandson this year and He had a great time. Guess we're stuck with bringing him every year now. lol

Thanks again for puting on a great event Mick.

Thanks BigKen! I just can't get photos of that paint that do it justice. Sorry I didn't run into you, maybe next time.

  7. That little dude is hooked for sure. He was cruising the parking lot all night friday and saturday night... he's already too cool.
I took my son this year for the first time and he's hooked now too. He is already talking about next year and wants to have both the "A" and the '39 there. Maybe he'll keep me on track.

P***ing out the trophies this year ****ed. Too many Kool cars out there and trying to narrow it down to thirty was ruff. Jack, your part of the Stray Kat thing and your suggstion was the koolest thing that we ever done. I was thrilled to see his face!! I wish that I had white walls when I was that age.........

It was kool to finally meet ya and your T-Bird was breath taking. I've been blessed to see a lot of kool stuff but your Bird rates up there with the best of them. Thanks for bringing it down....

It was kool to finally meet ya. The one thing that I learned is, not to play poker with ya. Everyone was amazed that you drove your Bad *** truck up to Dewey. It was very Kool.

Being able to inspire kids to get involved makes it all worth while. I love the direction that the show is going and the SK 500 is not for everyone. I try to make the event a family event. That may not sound "Kool" to a lot of people. If you can experience seeing a kid behind the wheel of a Hot rod or Kustom for the first time or riding a riding a bike pretending its a chopper. Then you will understand.

    Happy Trails,

    mick

    Hey Mick,

We all had a great time again as usual. Glad I was able to bring in the nice weather this year. Renee said I have to work my schedule around the show from now on being that the only time it rained was the two years I missed.

    Thanks for all you do!

    Mick,

The best 500 ever. I failed again on the '39, but still had a great time ridin' shotgun in Seth's '52. Of couse the group I spent the weekend with helped make the weekend the best ever. Thanks again Mickey. I can't wait until next year. (See ya in Lamar!)

WOW!! Glad I made a good impression

Saw Ken and Casey all over town. I'll be posting more pictures after I get through re-sizing them.

This year we had a huge number of guys that this was the first time that they had their ride ready for the Stray Kat. Some of them have been working on them for years. It was way too kool to see them make their goal of getting the car on the road. Seth was one of them that had a smile on his face all day. Glad that you guys had a good time.

You guys were missed but we didn't miss the rain........

Your car is looking good!! Every year, I see more and more that you've done to it. Didn't you drive it too Lamar without gl***?? wish I had more time to talk....

I know how ya feel My Merc wasn't there either so Next year we will be the ones with the big smile!!

    More pics to come....

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

  20. Mick, I must say the show gets better and better each year! Having the wagon at the show gave me the perspective I have always wanted. Thanks alot!.

    I'll send you some pics.

Your wagon is a kool project. Looking forward watching ya finish her up, you have a good eye for detail.

386 was the total cars. We had a few locals that crashed are party..... We had a "DONK" car do a drive through the show. That was Kool????? None of my help saw him drive through gate.

I thought so, you guys got there late Friday night and a bit chilled Jue 28 I don't think that the temps will be in the low 30's this year........... Keep it up, looking forward to the progress....

thanx to all you guys for reminding me what i missed. i tried to call Mick saturday evening from my desk here at work just to see if i could hear the fun.

the next time the boss says "you WILL be at work saturday" when i have plans to be at SK500 or hamb drags or something similar i think i'll just drop my keys on his desk and retire.

I saw the donk, I thought since you did not have a local drag racer come in and do a burnout this year, you simply hired that guy to come drive his donk through.

Mike, you were definitely missed! When you move Sherry home you folks have got to stop by for a day or two. Work for yourself! Then if the boss is a **** you can go anyway! lol

Missed ya buddy, next year for sure, right?

wild horses couldn't keep me away.

hay (pun intended), that would be a good line in a song!

  30. Man it was hurting me to not be in Dewey.

Glad y'all had fun and good weather.

Even a wet Kat is fun! ;)

See y'all next year, if not before.
