    Thanks Jimmy!

No frame horns on this one...the front of the frame is pinched to where it will disappear into the '32 shell. There will be a "Doane Spencer-esque" nerf bar on the front to hold the headlights and mount the shocks off of.

Like I said this is just the basic chassis...a lot of the detail stuff like that is yet to come.

Love the A tie rod ends. I'm in the middle of working out my front end and have a set to use in a similar way.

Thanks Rusty....I used the TIG. Of course it's slower than mig, but the grinding is much easier and there's less chance of porosity.

I still have a crush on the little robot girl.

You have no idea what kind of pre-pubescent dreams the idea of a robotic girl can conjure up. :)

(Disclaimer: I was 8 years old in 1985.)

All those little things make that frame look awesome like the rivets and how the motor mount mimics the front cross member. I want to see more.

I truly admire the sight of beautiful welds. Excellent. Encore please!

  17. Once again Bass you have raised the bar for the rest of us. Makes want too take down the post I did on my quarter panel replacement until I can weld like that. Keep us posted on the build if you get time in between your customers.

Thanks! That's pretty much the desired result...a roadster that looks like it could have driven out of a late '50s Stroker McGurk cartoon.

    Try: www.lefthanderchassis.com

Killer/Jason tipped me off to those guys back when I was doing the chassis for the coupe.
