Nah, I'm self-taught with advice from Jimmy White and Bob Wilson (who are both excellent welders)...I don't think I could teach anybody else how to weld.

Besides it's mostly just practice and a whole lot of determination.

Brian, I don't post much anymore here on the board because I don't see that much that impresses me and I have not worked on anything in a while. Your perspective on this build is just right on. You approach your work like I do when you build. Much better though. I really dig this build. High props to you. Can't wait to see this one.

Thanks, I would have liked to make it out to Austin this year but went to Viva instead. Next year you will see me at the Lonestar come hell or high water(looks like you got some of that.) I saw the video. I am a lot closer to Texas now. You coming over to the Fathers day shindig in Pomona in June?

I'm planning on it! Probably won't be driving a roadster just yet, but I do have plans to drive out.

 

I don't want to give away too many details, but here's what I'm thinking for exhaust at the moment. The headers will be sort of a tri-Y that looks like the old Fenton 'Black Widow" cast iron headers.

Speaking of headers...Who makes a good header flange for a 265/283? I need some for 1.75" primaries I guess.

 

If you feel like laying over in Tucson you should get my number and stop by. Are you gonna drive the coupe or trailer it out. That's a long pull for a drive. No shame in a trailer in my book. PM me if ya need my info

 

well i wasnt even sperm yet in 85 so there is still hope I can be like you when I grow up.
