Well, then you'd better bring your late-night drinking shoes to the Rust Revival! We'll make sure you wear them out! :D;) See you two soon....

Thanks again for the great pics and words, Denise! Now, where were all of the '50s and '60s cars I'm so fond of? :p

    You're a hoot Frank...Love ya!:D

I certainly need to rest up for that weekend.;):D

I really, really wanted to meet you :(

:D Silly me, I left out a whole section to the story. In the photo where AJ is sitting on Dad's lap was about the time this dude walks up and starts asking Dad about the car. Dad walks around the car with him explaining everything then took him for a ride. Dude says he needs to think about it. Walks away. Comes back about 15 minutes later. Asks Dad if he'll take a check...yeah right:rolleyes: Banks are closed. Dudes says he's 95% sure he wants the car and will call Dad in a day or two, which the dude did already. They talked price, Dad sold him the car, he's coming up on the 21st to pick it up.

I'm sure the quick sale had something to do with the very cool looking, color coordinated For Sale flyers I made Dad for the show.:D I wonder if I'm going to get a sales commission on it like Megan does when she sells a car?:D

Haven't gotten any yet. The ones on Big Olds in the photo shoot are all borrowed. I'll have some extra money to spend on caps early next month. Shoot me a PM with prices for the two so i know how much to save.

Hello to the rest of the boys from me please.

  7. Denise,,,I am really glad you and your dad made the trip to the Nats South,,,,It was indeed a pleasure meeting you both.:)

Brenda (mrs. HRP)really enjoyed the time spent with you and your dad also.

I also had the chance to met a few Hambers I had never met along with a couple of lurkers.

The weather was pretty good and the quility of cars wasn't bad.

Sorry I didn't make it to Calhouns,,,

You always do a fantastic job on covering shows,,,this one was no different.

My only fault with this Hamb gathering was ,,,Where were the cookies?:D HRP

BTW,,,the photo of crestliner,Deuce Roadster and myself look like tube headers,,

My favorite car of the show as well, you should see the grill on it, and they didn't even get a mention. Anyone have pictures from the front?
Good seeing everyone, we had a great time - see you next weekend at the Showdown.

Can I help you out with that?

I think this is the right car.

    It was fun meeting everybody.

Denise I really enjoyed talking to your dad. It's funny we have a San Diego connection. If you ever want to see some cruise night photos from your old stomping grounds in El Cajon, I have lots in my Fotki albums.

Next time, hows about a ride in Big Olds?

    Denise,
The Big Olds is lookin' good, and so are you. Glad to finally get to meet you and some more of the HAMB crew.
Robert, Harrison is correct after 34 years of having to be clean shaven for the Fire Brigade and setting a good example for my Men I have "ran a wheel off" in retirement. You need to load up some of the "limey loafers" and come over and see us again. Paul was asking about you guys yesterday, he conned me into going over and helping him move out his old sofa and bring in a new one.

    Hey Denise,
We really enjoyed the show in Knoxville, and one of the highlights was meeting you, your dad, and all the others that showed up for Saturdays Meet & Greet. Our little paper name badges are hanging in the office, as a token of remembrance. Loved seeing all the cars, especially Big Olds... and your coverage of the show rocks!

Can't wait to do it again. And maybe I'll be less of a lurker and more of a poster now that I've met some of you HAMBers.

Thanks for the great post! They're always fun to look at and read through. I've spent a good bit of time at Austin Speed Shop when Big Olds was hanging there waiting for upholstery, hope to get to meet you in the future.
