Before WW2 we managed to get a decent ammount of US cars sold new here after that less and less, but the last 20 years have seen alot of movement of post war stuff into NZ as the USD is low and older stuff out of NZ as the USD is high, and a good thing too, lord knows how many cars us overseas types have saved from the crusher in the US..... or the shorter answer by boat

 

About the artwork...every year different member of the Scroungers gets their car on the event T shirt, this year it was my turn.

It looks like every car is HAMB-worthy. Is there a big Maori with a gun at the gate turning all the billetmobiles away, or do people just know that it's a trad style event?

 

Kev, great pics mate,as you would have found out the HOT ROD scene back home is on a roll, its unreal what is going on.The Scroungers deserve a lot of respect for their promotion of traditional Hot Rodding in New Zealand.

 

That p/u is *****in... he just had a post not to long ago on it.. it's got a torsion bar suspension. There was just so pics of it on Hop up I think last month. In the drip pan...
