I keep seeing some posts about 50 Olds. I was just wondering how many HAMBER's have a 50 . I have a tudor. Not running but hope to put it on the street soon. Mine was left outside for several years and needs lots of stuff. All things come to those who wait or rust away. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Like I told the kid "Your music not too loud, it just ****s!"
i have a 50 2door fastback model76 that i will never get running again.it is rusty and bent ,But complete with an ohio ***le. jim
I have a 2 door sedan... bagged all four corners.. gonna be choping it soon. Interior by Jimmy Z... It is a little rough but will be nice when completed..
I'm looking for a fire engine red 50 Olds coupe for a book cover. And still looking for someone living in Santa Barbara to answer a couple of research questions. As well as a Marine - ex or otherwise - who trained in Southern California and went to Vietnam in the early 70s. Just to set your mind at ease, the Marine Corps will be presented in a good light. I don't want to highjack the post, but I've posted these requests before and they didn't go anywhere. The pic is the main thing I'm looking for and the other stuff would be a decided bonus....
there are two guys in the southwest streetrods club, who have red 50 post coupes. Either would be up for setting up a photo for you. pm me with what exactly you want, and I will talk to them.
got a 50 olds 98. SMOOTH RIDE! Runs real good, only weird thing is that hydramatic starts in 2nd in both DR and LO. Can get 1st by flooring in LO though.
This is a 50 Olds Club Sedan that was feature in the Jan. 75 Streetrodder and was used in the 1979 Movie "Hot Rod". This car raced the primer grey Willys during "eliminations". Can is DONE and will be photographed by one of the most famous HotRod Magazines on the rack. You have to see it to believe it. My pride and joy. And it is for sale. Bob
I got a '50 88 fastback factory stick with 53,000 actual miles. It was a nice car when I got it but I had to FIX it!!!......So now it's nosed and decked with the hood full of louvers and it 6 inches closer to the ground where it belongs! And before anyone asks......NO, it's not for sale!
love my 50 olds, wish I had one back. I know where there is a 50 olds 2dr that has been sitting in the same place since at least 76' not for sale.
This guy we met at the nostalgia race at Bradenton last year. Caught my attention on his first mid 13 second run.Its his high school car and he had swapped in a 454 out of a wrecked Chevelle in the early 70's. after bolting on some slicks(57 Olds axle) and uncorking it he proceeded to rip off some 11.80's. Old guys RULE, what a beautiful ride and quite the sleeper...
hahah see the guy behind the olds with the camera and the american graffiti shirt on next to his girlfriend....thats me. i got a short video of that car too but dont know how to post it. was one of the best cars there the whole day.
Thanks guys! Keep sending in the photos. When I learn how I'll post a couple pic of mine. This is the hardest place to post a photo I've ever come across. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Like I told the kid, "Your music not too loud, it just ****s!"
Just picked up a 4door that I'm building into a LaCarrera Panamerican racer. Running stock cl***, so it'll be 303 with a 4 bbl, hopefully headers and a cam, full suspension work, gotta be able to go around corners fast!!! This pic is of my last one; a '52 Chevy 4 door, running a balanced 261 truck engine with a 235 head, Clifford 4 bar and headers, ran very strong, till I went off an "S" turn at about 80, Ouch!
