Thats the listing. I noticed the nerfs, wheels are a little new, and the sissy bars on the cage. The trailer that comes with it is a different one, but still looks decent.

After all these pics I had to add nerf bars to my roadster, I still need to polish them but they are on.

BZNIEL.. I like the nerf bars. You were talking about making them last time I saw your car. Well done.

Greg weld's car is beautiful.. MMMMMM.. Goooodyears. I like the Goodyear "dirt trackers" ya just don't see a lot of them.

  6. The Dunseth car has the original Weld wheels on it. Most don't know this but these were the first wheel designs made by Weld.

Is this also the last ride for Jud?

The car was in Greg Weld's new wheel business booth. Here is another shot of the car with Greg in the background, Black and gray shirt. I talked with him briefly about the car, but he was pretty busy hocking wheels.

Actually, Jud's last ride was in the #16 Dunseth team car. The #16 car was the "continuation" of the Cheesman OFFY.

    Yes.. I second that.

Its funny you mentioned the Cheesman Offy. I dug this open wheel out last week cause I When I finish the Bowles Ranger, The next car that I have to build has to have the same paint sceme as the Cheesman Offy.. The guy originally wanted an A.J. Foyt, Bowes Seal fast White, Black and Red. But, now he wants this..

The current owner of the Kurtis Midget I mentioned in the above post gave me the chassis number. Can any of you point me in the right direction to find out if the car is legit? A website or phone number of someone who can help me?

Try Van Craft on Gasoline Alley in Indy he has all the original jigs etc for the Kurtis Midgets. I think this # is still good if not let me know and I will get you in touch with him.

I am a 1920s board track era fanatic. I would love to know the story of that Duesenberg-It looks original and unmolested to me.

Nope.. The body is brand new.:D Its been painted to look old. (Those damn fake patina guys) The Engine is correct for Indy racing, but the car itself never raced. It was built into a racer from an original car. It has some Real race items on it.. But there is no story. The owner wanted a VERY EARLY two seater racer that he could drive on the street.. This car will be perfact for that.

  24. I just received this in an Email from a friend who attended the recent vintage meet at Loudon, NH.

"Yep, street driven and owner built. Beautiful tube chassis, hand built aluminum body by the owner, headlites are way low in the nose, and single taillight. The hood fits on with a hole for the teardrop that covers the mag and carb. Small block chevrolet. But what a gorgeous car! I first saw it on the track and I thought it was a restoration in progress. And yes those are 18” halibrands in the rear. Guy was a young fellow who was showing onlookers how he used Indy car specs to keep the wheelbase and all in proportion. Now here is a grocery getter!!"

I don't know who owned it, built it, or who owns it now.. I just know that The guy That did the Body and Patina'd it is in Michigan and the new owner is in California. (if that helps)

No, I didn't do this one.

I bought that DVD a few months ago when somebody posted it on "Indiana Open Wheel" message board....Yeh - Wow! It means a lot to me, because all of the races are from the Eastern Tracks, and I was actually at some of them....Great memories for me!:D

    Al,
Do you if their are other videos of Reading or Williams Grove from the late 50s or 60s? I'd love to see them if they are around.
