What a bummer!! I saw that ya'll had hail the size of golf balls or bigger up there. The tornados have been doing a number on a lot of people this year. Sorry to hear that and I hope they rebuild. Oh, are you feeling better?

That storm sucked. It really messed that place up. I hope that this storm doesnt stop the action too long. I have a LOT of good memories up there.

    Damn! That's sad to hear.

Good thing is, there wasn't much to the track...a couple new sheds, a couple chainsaws to clear fallen trees and it will be back to normal.

Timing light and starting tree will be the key..hope he had insurance. Also looks like the big ol cover to the grand stand is wiped out. Wish them luck.

Hey Casey, Wonder if a work day down there would help out. There are many of us that could show up with trailers, chainsaws, hammers, wood and screw guns to help clean up and rebuild. Gonna be tough for me right now but i would make time to somehow to go for a day.

Hope no one was hurt. Looks like there are some trees still there, and you know we will all be back there in a few months.

NOT COOL! The tin roof on the grandstand was removed by Hutch. The clean up is gonna be tough. On the good side it may be god's way of removing tree limbs above the track. This part could be good!!!:)

I sure hate to see this happen. Little River has to be one of the most picturesque tracks in Texas. Hopefully, with some major cleanup and a little repair, they'll be back in business.

Out of curiosity, is Hutch the same Hutch that used to own Kennedale? If so, when did he start running Little River?

    That is sad.
I can see in the photos looking down the track, those grooves in the surface. Why would they do that. It's hard enough to drive on that shit on the highway. To do that to a racetrack? Seems like the grooves would hold water, oil, or just plain run you into the rails.

Good idea, Tony. I could probably take a day to go down there and help out.

I walked down the track and it is rough with grooves I asked hutch why they ground it and he said to level it out ?
I thought it was fine before .
it felt fine to me and I ran my fastest time ever on it so I'm not gonna complain .

Believe it or not they plan on racing tonight. I went over and took some more pictures last night and posted them on the website so you can see they've made some progress with the clean up. You guys should make the short drive up and check it out.

That is my favorite track. (I love it , too!) I use to live around Belton and went there every chance. I hope everything gets back to norm. I agree with maybe a God thing to clear some of the trees over the track, but the trees in the pit area are great! Keep us posted on the progress.
