Hi, I live in the UK and want to buy a 1930 sprint car, but don't know where to look. If anyone has and ideas, leads, any help at all, I'd be really gratefull. Thanks, Mike
Hi Mike, A great place to start is by subscribing to Charlie Yapps's Secrets of Speed magazine. This mainly concentrates on Ford 4 bangers, but it also often contains features and letters on tons of other cool stuff. His web site is at www.secretsofspeed.com (it didn't work when I tried it a few minutes ago, but I have Charlie's email address at home if you're still having problems later). I have a pile of back issues of the magazine for sale if you are interested (I'm based in the UK). Each quarterly issue has a great "For Sale/Wanted" section where loads of great parts and cars turn up. Another great little magazine with good classifieds is "The Alternate". The web site for this one is at http://www.racepaper.com/ Hope this helps !
Try putting a ad at hoseheads website, also tj slideways, and try these guys RUPW 717 677 6821 or info@rupw.com or http://www.rupw.com/

Mac miller is right,, but, If you absolutely have to have an original, They are out there.. And the good news is that the 30's and 40's exposed frame cars are the model "T"'s and "A"'s of the sprint car wold.. Cool but not as valuble as what came after it.. You can get in to one that doesn't have a famouse history for relativly cheap.. You might pay more for shipping than you do the car where your at! But, that makes them easy to build... LOW TECH!! Then you make your OWN history! JD
Also check "Vintage Oval Track" magazine.. If you can get it sent to you across seas, there are classifieds in the back every month.. pretty good stuff. JD
